Lovely, lovely bittersweet story. Sniffle. I love stories with Corporal Yost in them.
A (hopefully!) constructive criticism: I think you should remove the sentence "A man that once the case was solved he let fade from his memory." This doesn't go along with the rest of the story that shows how Tony continued to have contact with Ernie over the years. You don't need to replace the line with anything else - the previous sentence stands perfectly on its own.
Love this line "...the former Marine had glistening eyes and was standing at attention as he looked upon the old warrior laying in the ICU bed." Beautiful image of Gibbs honoring Ernie.
I'm glad Tony named his firstborn son after Ernie.
