hey hey, you're back with this story D I was wondering if you had given up all together. Any update is a good update as long as it's not an author's note saying they're giving up! Hacket knows Sheppard's lying through his teeth, but he's still taking it? Well i guess the alternative isn't that much prettier, but this new council is not off to a good start. Hope to see more Miranda soon 0 i think she carries this fic more than Sheppard in some ways. Not enough love for the perfect woman out there!

Sup, so I don't know if you've answered this yet, but are the Rachni included in this fic? Miranda didn't mention them in her conversation with Admiral Shep as best I can remember. But then Shepard mentions that the Geth weren't even the most surprising addition to the Council and the only other race I could think of were our favorite insects. Also just a suggestion, but if you do include the Rachni, check out the Spirit of Redemption fanfic on this website, its got an incredible perspective on them. Last thing, this is such an awesome story I love its direction! Keep it up!

Damned interesting stuff.
I have a post-ME3 story on hiatus after probably 75k words or so, but it's on the happy, everything-worked-out-okay side. There's another I've been outlining, though, and it's a lot like yours. (Well, except with Tali. I enjoy most of the MShep LIs except Jack and Cortez, but Tali stubbornly remains the only one I can really write about).
It's interesting to think of how much power Shepard could wield if he wanted to, after undoubtedly becoming the most legendary hero in galactic history. And with the asari's screwups, Linron's attempted betrayal, the Council and Alliance's inaction, etc, there's a lot of housecleaning that could be done if Shepard chose to take the reins, even if he didn't do it as a dictator.
So that's why this one's grabbed my attention. It's an intriguing look into a possible future where the galaxy almost fell because of the stupidity of multiple leaders. Curious to see how things will turn out.

Alright, good job. Got kinda misty at some of those good spots.

It's interesting reading how your Shepard interacts with people in this post-war galaxy. A lot of people who are writing fics like this keep their Shepard's personality pretty much intact, but I do think it's a lot more realistic the way you've done it. I think it would be impossible to keep all of your core values intact after experiencing that sort of trauma. And perhaps I missed this before, but did you not tell Wrex about the attempted sabotage during the Priority: Tuchanka mission? Or did you just choose to write it that way?

Its easy to underestimate a Krogan when you just lump them all into 'big, dumb, and violent'. I think Wrex preferred it that way (at least in the past).

On the other hand, I wouldn't have minded seeing if the old bat-frog could fit the Dalatress into his mouth in one gulp ;)

Great job, I like your hardass Shepard, not that he is necessarily renagade, just says and does what he needs to without being an irrational dick.

Oh boy something tells me the next couple of chapters is going to be a bloodbath Politics and all.

You probably though i was dead! no My job just got in the way and i had no time to read. As always Fantastic job with both this and the last chapter. Seriously enjoying the way your writing out the new perspective with Shepard and i personally hope this business with the Council ends sooner then later so we can get some more Miri action :D
