Loved it!ahahahah!

This story is the only reason I set electronic foot in the Mass Effect section anymore. I really look forward to the updates. Which puts me in a bit of a pickle, because if you're updating this, you're not updating your other great stories. But, at least I still get a chapter. Can't wait for the next one, whenever you get the chance.

Also, don't mean to quibble, but in the part about all the races getting a seat on the new council, the Volus were conspicuous for their absence, especially since their irritation at humanity getting a seat when they still didn't have one was a big part of their characterization in ME2. Not sure if it was an oversight, or if there's a reason, but wanted to point it out.

Now...Lessee how long the meeting goes without shouting...Be sure to have Westmoreland keep a stopwatch handy! God knows she needs something to keep her occupied besides standing next to a door...

YES! The Council meeting has started! And we get to see how the Galaxy is gonna roll from here on out. And finally, the species that deserve seats are getting them. And the Batarians too! I'm actually glad. Some of the cooler side character NPCs with no names were the Batarians who didn't act like dicks. And even though he was a giant asshole, even Balak stepped up to the plate with his species unconditionally. This is turning out to be one hell of a political thrill ride. Loving it, keep up the great work.

I freaking love this story. To be honest, for a long time, I was a Talimancer. That kind of changed upon reading another Shep/Miri story, and now, to be honest, it's one of my favorite pairings. Perhaps it's just my romantic view of the universe, but in most of my stories I change characters, despite their original personalities, to be lovey dovey. You haven't sacrificed Miranda's personality for romance's sake, and it's surprisingly refreshing to read.

Reading about Miranda's outlook, and indeed Shepard's as well, on the war is immensely interesting. How John was affected also was different to what I normally read. Becoming jaded and somewhat unable to empathize is not something I'd usually see him as, but he is only human.

Suffice to say that this story has given me much to think about, and I eagerly await the next installment to see just how this council meeting turns out... and I have a sneaking suspicion that one of the more 'shocking' races present may just be comprised of two letters, and their representative *may* just have a name comprised of three...

Garrus aside Weed is one of my favorite characters and the way you portray him did him justice. I literally cant wait to see how thenext chapter with the new council goes. Needless to say I'm sitting on the edge of my seat. Seriously f**k the job and social life and get back to writing! ;)

Another simply excellent chapter. Whilst personally, I rather like Hackett, I must say I enjoyed the battering he and the Dalatrass took from Shepard. It was masterfully done. I wait with bated breath for the next update...
