Gosh this angst shit is so fucking annoying, the only reason I'm trudging on is because of the reviews, all of them say how fucking good this is and I just can't see it

I don't get it? Naruto and Sasuke fought so I assumed that it was after the final fight but apparently Kakashi is dead, Obito hasn't been revealed to not be Madara and the Kage Summit hasn't taken place. So where the fuck in the timeline does this take place

"He doesn't want to be saved."

The only sane thought in all of this. Sasuke has his own personality and character that made him who he is under the influence of Konoha. Sasuke is simply a product of the actions of the village and its leaders. Why the hell do people expect it to be something good and positive, I have no idea. All of them, including Sakura, didn't care about Sasuke at all. They had their own vision of Sasuke that had nothing to do with the boy himself. And they all faced the consequences of their delusions. Why the hell does anyone even think that Sasuke has any debt left to this damned village? At the same time, I love Konoha for Hashirama and Tobirama, Minato and the older generation of Ino-Shika-Cho, for Naruto himself. The idea of Konoha was created from something beautiful and kind, but that has nothing to do with Sasuke. So no, Sasuke doesn't owe them a damn thing.

First, I want to say that I'm so sad to hear about your terrible 2020/21. My dad was diagnosed with cancer at the very very end of 2018 and was going through treatment from Jan 2019 onward. When 2020 hit, suddenly, I couldn't see him any more, and he just kept getting sicker. Now...he was NOT in hospital. So eventually I did get to start going to see him again. But for half a year or so, I may somewhat know how you felt, to have a family member in danger of dying (Dad did die of his cancer, but not until May 2022.) and them held captive away from you, where you can't soak up the time you have left. But I know I was much luckier than you so even though this update is from two years ago, it may still be something you're struggling mightily with.

If you never finish this fic, no worries. It's NOT IMPORTANT, compared to your actual life.

I do love the story, though, thanks for writing it up to where it is :) I really enjoy the type of fic where small changes are introduced and they show realistic changes to in-character Team 7. I can't tell for sure but I think this fic was still in the early stage? Anyway, you wrote very well and if you're done with it, I hope you still have things you enjoy putting your time into. THe ways life can shift after the death of someone close are strange and unexpected and sometimes things that seemed so stable just...disintegrate.

So many years later and I suddenly thought of you and remembered this story. Hope you're doing well! I used to read your stories in like 2010s as a student in school and just life happened and completely gave up fancfition in high school. Now it's so many years later and I'm pursuing my post graduation but I still remember that I used to LOVE you're writing and stories.

well that was quite the storyit's sad to see that we likely might not get an update for quite some timebut I'm still grateful for having the 11 chapters that you did provide. I love your depiction of Genin Team 7, especially Sakura with how you've balanced her more childish traits against her mature traits. I would love to see this story progress so that we can watch Sasuke develop and become closer to his teammatesso I hope this story gets updated someday! 3 you truly did a fantastic job, despite all the hardships you were experiencing IRL while writing.
