To be honest, it beggars belief that they wouldn't be able to get the mass relays running again eventually. Maybe not quickly, but it's not like the Mass Effect stopped working. And especially with various races working to get them back, and knowing how they should work. And while galactic civilization might have collapsed... regional would not.

Anyways, a good ending.

Good one shot with rather ambiguous ending. I suppose each reader can interpret it any way they like. Which I think is what you intended given your A/N at the beginning of the story.

I'd just like to say that this is a much better ending than the canon ones, and I appreciate you writing it. All of the ME3 endings seemed to be cop-outs in one manner or another, and this makes an excellent closer to an otherwise-awesome game. Thank you.

Some one needed to write an ending/extrathingymajiggy for ME3...and you made this believable enough to seem legit... not sure how to end the series myself but good job regardless.

While technically and stylistically your writing is excellent as always, thematically this rang a little hollow for me. Everything works out a bit too well. Yes, of course many lives were lost in the assault on Earth, but frankly, those are statistics as far as we're concerned. Everyone we know is still alive, with the exception of those that died to get us to Earth in the first place. But Shepard, Anderson, EDI and all the rest are still around, and apparently not too much worse for wear. I feel that at least one of the three I mentioned should have died; EDI if you chose Destruction, Shepard if you chose Synthesis or Control, and even if you wanted to keep those two around (which I completely understand), I think Anderson should've at least bled out.

Regardless, I'm looking forward to seeing more from you, so keep at it!

Honestly I would have much prefered something like this as the ending instead of what we got. Even if it took away our ability to choose this or something like it would have been much more enjoyable.
