You surprised me with this chapter; I'd never thought of Kate's previous relationships in this light, &, more exactly Kate's mindset at this point in her relationship with Rick. Nice work!

Wow...I am speechless. This has to be one of the absolute best Castle fanfics I've ever read! I mean it honestly! I can't believe I missed this, but lately I've been going back and re-reading a lot of them, and came across this last week. Once I started, I couldn't put it down...every night I read a few chapters (even during the day when I should have been working)! I laughed, I cried and tried to remember every detail of every episode as you wrote Kate's letter. The idea was absolutely genius on your part and so unique. I wish so much that this was part of the show, to be honest! It would have been so cool to see Rick's perspective after every case and what he was feeling. Some of those chapters tore my heart right out, but then to hear them talk about it right after reading it, made everything better. I miss them terribly and I am so grateful to you and all the fanfic writers for having written these stories to go back to even after all these years. You wrote this almost 8 years ago and yet it seems like yesterday this could have happened. THANK YOU for keeping them alive in our hearts and minds.
