| Velasa chapter 3 . 1/30/2013
This continues to be damn charming. Loved the inclusion of the Overlord material- I always found that story to be interesting and you used it to good effect. You write the two of them conversing beautifully.
| Velasa chapter 2 . 1/30/2013
Mmmhmn delicious emotional range... The anger and the frustration twining like snakes in the first part- I love the way you disarmed the situation gradually instead of the 'yup we're cool' way the game takes it. (Somewhat unrelated- I know it was done purely for Garrus' sake but I'm relieved Lantar was spared, I'm really quite attached to the kid.) The following sections were all nice little vignettes to follow and I loved them (especially the Tuchanka one, lotta great stuff there) but goddamn it's 6am almost and I need to cut the review short.
Oh, though- "Smells like racism" had me choking on laughter.

"—and a little at Shepard, for dying, for arriving when she did and not one day earlier, or one day later"
Damn that line was a kick in the teeth- beautiful, painful, right to the point. I'm loving this so far.

I wish I could take you out and buy you an expensive dinner. Or send you a gift basket. I REALLY REALLY LOVE THIS FIC, NICELY DONE. Seriously, you've probably got some of my favorite dialogue and you capture everyone's voice REALLY well.
| Leaf Green chapter 3 . 5/16/2012
I can't really praise this enough. This is the first time I've read a story and found the dialogue so on that I actually hear the voice actors' voices in my head. Your Shepard is strong and spot on, your Garrus suave. Cant' wait for more.
| RaptorAssassin chapter 3 . 5/3/2012
This is so insanely well written, THANK YOU. Here we have a shining example of story telling amidst the seas of fluff. Please produce more, as I am twitching in anticipation.
| anonymous moose chapter 3 . 4/3/2012
This is truly impressive. I almost can't imagine these characters any other way than how you present them. Believable, genuine, sweet without being saccharine, an actual progression. And significant interactions with other characters beyond the relationship that are just as meaningful.
No critiques here. You done good, kid. Real good. All I can do is ask for more.
| servantofclio chapter 3 . 4/2/2012
Great characterization and dialogue throughout. I especially liked Garrus & Joker's prickly relationship.
| Girl-chama chapter 3 . 4/2/2012
I consider myself something of a stickler for characterization and this is by far the best Mass Effect story I've read. Garrus is perfect, and the dynamic you have between him and Shepard is so solid, but still new feeling as well. I like that you hit the interims instead of catching each and every point that we already know. Can't wait to read more :)!
| A Talking Dinosaur chapter 3 . 4/1/2012
Very good story ). I'm looking forward to reading the rest.
| The Gifted Ten chapter 3 . 4/1/2012
I'm completely hooked. This is the first Mass Effect fic I've ever read and I can tell already that it's probably the best out there. I completely lost myself in the story; the game accuracy, the characters in character, the grammatical proficiency, and all the little details almost made me forget that this didn't actually happen-per sé. (I'd totally like to think that it did.)
I literally can't wait for you to add more to this; I would even hold off starting my copy of ME3 in favor of reading the next chapter for this.
I'm definitely adding you to my favorite authors list.
| Ffelan chapter 3 . 3/31/2012
Utterly fantastic and utterly believable. You've captured the essence of these characters beautifully. I am SO looking forward to more.
| red lilies chapter 3 . 3/31/2012
So, I rarely read stories that follow the game closely anymore (as it seems everyone and their uncle writes those), and yet, I find myself really looking forward to the next chapter and so forth of this one. You have done such an excellent job with the dialog – I am smiling at most of it and giving unlady-like snorts at more than a couple. It’s just so sharp. And you back it up with spot on characterization. Pure win.
| Yngvildr the Voracious chapter 3 . 3/31/2012
I don't know where you got the "kava" thing from, but it reminds me of French slang for coffee xD (kawa) I don't even know if it's slang or Creole or anything, it's just... So funny !
| emalden chapter 3 . 3/31/2012
So delighted to see a new chapter! Your characterization is wonderful, and the dialogue is sharp and crackling and absolutely hilarious- better and richer than just about everything in-game. You are the battlemaster of Mass Effect banter.
