Eh, slash, triads, friends, whatever. It's relationships, and they meander, and twist. Life doesn't always follow a pretty little Cinderella plan. It's not fair, and sometimes it's fucked up. I cannot believe people would rail at you over the direction they think Tom and Harry might go. If it were Tom and bloody Harriet, perhaps they'd be begging in the other direction. Anyway, I also love that you didn't tidy this chapter up and show how Hermione had faired, and what recuperations there were over that fiasco.

I'm a fan of short chapters with action or two or three key POV. It's the ones that go on, and on, and on for 9k or so that aggravate me.

What a motley crew. I cannot fathom how you plan to sort this mess out. It is fascinating.

I enjoyed the action, and the awkwardness and unresolved feeling of the final conversation between Harry and Tom. It mimics life. Conflicts carry on, and aren't neatly resolved with a few choice words or one-shot debate.

It reminds me of a teen arguing with the parent at times; though I suppose foster child arguing with foster parent might be more accurate.

Well, my instincts are accurate, or your foreshadowing is subtle. I almost feel sorry for Lucius, or perhaps I should feel trepidation for a young Dark Lord.

They seem to live and breathe, and appear to be controlling you now. Evil creatures and lost ones. You've created monsters in the shadows. Will you be revisiting Ginny soon? It feels about time for that, or Albus or Severus. I wonder whether Lucius will rear his pretty head at some point? Well, it remains to be seen.

I started this story yesterday, and now I am hooked. The build up to the end of the fourth chapter was intense as things progressed, and I enjoyed the switches from Harry to Hogwarts, and various POV you have introduced so far. Well done. I look forward to finding out where you've taken things as I catch up to Chapter 66.
