This is breaking my heart! How could Harry do that to Tom? But I understand why which makes it even worse! The poor kid is just going through manipulations from all ends and Tom, even tho he's manipulating him, seems to be the best choice for Harry because he's the only one who seems to genuinely care about him. I hate how Dumbledore seems to just use him to do what he wants with no care for Harry's feelings, I hope he dies soon. On the slash question... I really want to see Harry and Tom together Tom can't be with anyone else; he won't trust anyone to that extent, and Harry, well he has plenty of options but Tom and ginny seem to be the only ones who understand him and if it comes down to it, ginny can easily find someone else

The only Tom/Harry author I like at least as much as you is Cybrid. Still soooooo wish you'd come back to this story but I guess having Cybrid's 'A Dangerous Game' move the chamber incident to sixth year gives it a whole new element.

I wish the was continued AND went till Harry was 16 and became romantic between them ugh. I love it so much even after all this time.

The first time I stumbled across this I forgot the name ended up not finishing it. The second time I saw it was after having read most of the rest of your stories, but for whatever reason, I ignored it. I found it again today, and it is amazing. Everything you write is so captivating...the relationship between Harry and Tom in this fic is so elaborately written. Thank you! I'm looking forward to reading more.

Before I say what I came here to say, I wanted to first compliment you. Your writing is seriously amazing and while I usually don't re-read things, this has managed to give me a lasting impression. If you ever ser this I hope we'll get a continuation - your endings are worth waiting for.

Now I wanted to say this: Dunbledore has no one to blame but himself. All his Greater Good philosophy, his grooming of Harry - backfired plain and simple. Why would he empathise with the enemy if not for all of his planning. He deliberately kept him abused and thought that tactic would actually work in this story.

These past chapters have served as great examples for how Tom mainly gets his way - Harry never expected to defend against kindness. That's the ticket in.

I never understood it - why in this exact way does Dumbledore need to "prepare" Harry? There was another story that expanded on this topic - make him starved for affection which the kind headmaster would gift him. He's trying to justify himself that caring for Harry is something he can't do because all of the lives Voldemort will ruin if he does - but that's bullocks. He just wants a sacrifical puppet. And yeah in the face of all this adversity things need to be sacrificed - but understanding isn't the same as sympathizing.

Based on what's been shown here, he unconsciously recreated himself and Gellert - but they are not them. He's stuck in the past and stuck within himself. He did a lot of good but he also made plenty of mistakes due to his own arrogance.

I'm glad this one blew up in his face.
