Would Saffra be a good name for a tribute girl from District One
| Guest chapter 1 . 3/8
Name: Aqua Shell
Age (12-18): 13
Appearance: Brown hair that goes to her mid-back, hazel eyes, fair skin, slender, just over average height. Her hair isn't straight, but it's not super wavy either. It's kinda in the middle.
Personality: Spunky, tomboy, not afraid to get hurt, good with a sword and bow, bad with a knife, kind of nice, compassionate, she can't help but have empathy. Her strong points are she is physically fit, good with a bow and a sword, and quiet. Her weak points are she is has kind of a soft heart. She doesn't like killing people, so she does it fast so the pain doesn't last very long.
Height: 5' 5"
Weapon of choice: Bow and arrows or sword

I've been using this for quite a while now, and I feel as if I should tell you what a great job this is. It's the best name guide I've ever seen, it's really helping me! Thank you so much! :)

| Maren chapter 1 . 3/2
I love this! I helped me to name the other tributes that wern't the main character, so thanks! An extra tip though, what I found helped me to name my tribute (district 5) for my fanfiction was to use google translate in latin and just type things relating to the district (Sun, sky, bright ect.) The girl in mine is Lucem which means sky in Latin!

For 'The Lone Career', for my District 1 family, I used the names Brighton (the father), Shimmer (the mother), Onyx (the son and first born), Glimmer (yes, the Glimmer from the first book), Amethyst (the daughter, third born, and protagonist), Emerald, Splendor (they're both twins: Emerald being a girl and Splendor being a boy), and Sapphire (the sixth born and the daughter). I also used Luminance, Comfort, Silk, Lux, and Elegance for supporting and background characters.
For District 2, I used Severina and Lucius.
Thanks for the guide

LIFE SAVER. I've been thinking about writing a Hunger Games fic for awhile, but part of my hesitation was lack of name ideas. I'd already noticed that Suzanne Collins used a lot of Latin names, plant names, and such, but I still wasn't sure about some districts. Thanks for the guide!

Im really glad you wrote this. I have been making a very detailed Fan Fic and I want everything to be realistic in the context of the books/movies. I wanted to name the unnamed tributes in the first movie and I used this guide to help me. You did a great job
