leira123 chapter 2 . 2/11/2016 Oh, how I love this. I love the Mycroft/Sherlock relationship almost as much as I love the Sherlock/Watson relationship. Perfect. |
Lyra Endless chapter 2 . 2/6/2016 I'll admit, that last bit made me cry quite a bit. Loved it though! Really well written and you absolutely NAILED the characterization of the Holmes brothers and John (to whom in my head I will totally refer to as the Puppy now, I love that bit 3 So cute/sad/perfect!) Only thing I coud critisize is that I sometimes had a bit of a difficulty placing the individual parts time-line wise. Dunno if that was intentional or not (to make the reader think I mean) but it seems like a bit of unnecessary confusion that disrupts an otherwise amazing reading experience- But as I said, loved it. I also think you are one of the only peoplw t portray Mycroft and his relationship with Sherlock in a... canon way. So awesome job on that as well! |
Nearing Midnight chapter 2 . 1/18/2016 Absolutely amazing story. This is, hands-down, the best characterization of Mycroft I've ever read in any BBC Sherlock fanfic. Definitely going straight onto my favourites list. I'm still speechless in awe from this. -NM |
agent-oli chapter 2 . 1/14/2016 this story... i just... excuse my incapability to write a comprehendable review, your fic has incapacitated me |
Guest chapter 2 . 12/19/2015 I really liked this story...in some ways would love to see a follow-up, but in others it feels very complete. An excellent story from Mycrofts standpoint. Very poignant - and nice to see since he operates in the background as a deus ex machines for much of the show. Thank you for writing such a thoughtful piece on their relationship. |
LovesDragons chapter 2 . 12/17/2015 So sweet. |
That-Flying-Breadstick-Wizard chapter 2 . 11/26/2015 DAMN IT WHY U MAKE ME EMOTIONAL AAAAAAAAAAAGH IT'S 1:15 IN THE MORNING AND I'M WAKING UP THE NEIGHBORS WITH MY SOBBING |
BooksAreMedicine chapter 2 . 10/25/2015 Great job. I really enjoyed all the puppy texts about John. The brotherly love was wonderful here. I liked how John confronted Mycroft after Irene Adler...he was right that Sherlock would pick him. I am glad Mycroft changed enough to help Sherlock through his fight with John. |
BooksAreMedicine chapter 1 . 10/25/2015 Mycroft and John together, it explains so much about how Sherlock has stayed alive for so long. I love the brotherly side of Mycroft and seeing how he cares in his own way and his heart. He is a great big brother. I love how he responded to John...the one man they can't manipulate and exactly what Sherlock needed. Wonderful piece. |
Vampy chapter 2 . 8/22/2015 Awww... :3 So touching. Heartbreaking at the end. You didn't say it but this story shows how much John changed Mycroft's life as well. ;) V. |
CatsCookiesCandy chapter 2 . 8/18/2015 Absolutely amazing! |
patternleap chapter 2 . 5/3/2015 Auugh! I am incoherent with how much this story makes me feel. I don't usually think about Mycroft that much, but seeing the events of the first six episodes from his eyes is a fascinating glimpse into his mind and his relationship with Sherlock. This is an amazing piece of writing. |
Cerro Tacune chapter 2 . 4/29/2015 You just made me love Mycroft. That's all I can say. |
Guest chapter 2 . 4/17/2015 This is one of those stories that makes you feel like a better person for having read it. |
pinksugarrush chapter 2 . 2/24/2015 Oh, my goodness. Words that I piece together to tell you how beautiful this piece would be a total understatement. I love it to much and it was wonderful, magnifieint, tear jerking, and just a beautiful bouquet of emotions. John's strong argument with Mycroft was amazing. The dialogue was fitting, witty, and so amazingly true. I absolutely adored the ending. My eyes actually watered when Sherlock told his brother that he knew Mycroft tried to lesson the blow of pain when he lost his first puppy. And now Sherlock was asking Mycroft to take care of his second puppy, John. It was incredibly sweet. And, oh god, I love how you mentioned that you can prepare yourself for grief but not for relief. I contemplated that and realized how true that was. Beautiful work! I say, I'm just keening with jealously with how well you write and how well you can put emotions into your words. I say with all honesty that I hope to be able to write like you one day. Keep up the beautiful, beautiful work, you talented person! |
