I am an R.N., and I always wondered how Carlisle could give donated, bagged blood to Bella or the baby. There are preservatives and other things in the blood to keep it from going bad. You answered this question well. Of course, Dr. Cullen couldn't get live donors to the family. That would be a completely different story from Stefanie's.
