Ahhhhhh this is amazing! Thank you so much for sharing! I love seeing fleshed out stuff of the background characters, and all your characters made so much sense!
| MissingMommy chapter 1 . 1/3/2013
So this was fantastic, as most of your work is. And I'm still shocked that I haven't reviewed this before now. I seriously don't know how that happened.
Anyways, I still strand by my choice of having EoSF as your secondary, even though this is just as good.
I really like how you fleshed out Dean's mom. She is beautiful and smart and oh so wonderful here. I really liked seeing Dean and Seamus' relationship from her eyes. A mother always know best and it's clear that she knows Seamus is what is best for Dean.
And the shipper in me definitely saw Dean/Seamus in here, even though they were just first years. (I think. I could be wrong, as I often am). And Seamus being so world wise and knowing that his mother lives his siblings more is just heartbreaking.
You know. I always did wonder how the teachers got all the Muggleborns to the station before the tron leaves.
Overall, gorgeous, as always.

I love this story. It's so sweet, & it's a nice look into Dean's family life. )

I love this. I'm actually going to go read your Seamus story in a mintue. Also, while this isn't what I had in mind for the challenge, it's so good that I don't really care. :)
| Geo Nova chapter 1 . 5/18/2012
You have far to few reviews for this wonderful story. I like the other reviewer love how you focus on muggle families and views from that perspective. We don't often see the muggle families reaction to there child being a wizard, and McGonagall's preface about her not being a nutjob was great.
Dean and Seamus's friendship is wonderful and strong.
A well written, original one shot :)
| Mr Bellatrix Lestrange chapter 1 . 4/26/2012
This was simply outstanding. That's all that there is to it. It's very hard to find lovely /family/ fics, especially one as beautiful and powerful as this, even with the minor characters of a Muggle family. I like how Maggie was the focus, and how you fabricated a perfectly believable family out of them. Many of the lines said and thought were pure poetry. Like, "all the kids who seem to take this world of magic for granted," and then Maggie's assurance that Dean won't be like that. And I like the way that Muggles have to be escorted by a witch/wizard- it was creative of you and it made me smile from the sheer realistic edge! I wonder if McGonagall went as well to Hermione's house, and /that/ would be a fun on to see. And my all time favorite line? "But my Dad is a Muggle, and I'm proud of that." Again it was believable, yet sad, and this little fanon bit you created for your own intents and purposes was wonderful. I don't think I've ever said it, but you are gifted.
