| The Unpredictable Muse chapter 1 . 9/5/2016
It's an interesting little slice of life. I find it hard that Mary loved Edmund though. Perhaps she was infatuated with his qualities, singularly, and not him as a whole.
| Madame Minuit12 chapter 1 . 3/3/2016
great insight into the crawfords :)
| Guest chapter 1 . 7/23/2015
Oh, the pain!
| Witty Eagle Proud Ravenclaw chapter 1 . 12/7/2014
It's laughably sad how well you've captured Mary's character, that insufferable wench! To hear things from her point of view only made me hate her more! Brilliant job on the story.
| Mariagoner chapter 1 . 4/30/2013
Oh, this is so PRECISELY what happened in canon, isn't it? Wonderful and fantastic work!
| LunaStorm chapter 1 . 8/6/2012
I think Mary's musings in this are perfectly in tune with that line at the end of the book that says it took her a long time to find someone of Edmund's worth among her many admirers.
Very good job!
| KiKi chapter 1 . 6/11/2012
Brilliantly written, i only wish there was more :). the language was well suited to the time and i think you captured Mary's persona perfectly.
| TheImaginationAddict chapter 1 . 5/20/2012
I really enjoyed this fic - Mary Crawford's thoughts as you've written them are in perfectly in accord with her character as we see it in the book.
A few lines I really liked for their insight :
"There is nothing more terrible than to love and yet know you yourself are the reason the love must be given up."
"They exposed the folly we could not stop clinging to. And neither of us were the better for having met them."
Thanks for writing and sharing!
