Great story! Love it... But, how hard would it have been to get "Argus Filch" , "Bartemius Crouch, either one" or a coupla' other names I can't remember- SPELLED right?! Not a big deal. Just annoying.
I figure, if you already read the books, then you KNOW the spellings. (And if you did NOT read them, then you shouldn't be writing fanfiction, should ya'?)

Anyway, on to the next chapter!

Harry's "commentating" wasn't worth the build up. Missed opportunity there. You put more thought into Sheila and Bills last names than you did thedueling show.
I like the pic, but that 'scene' was worthless from a Harry perspective.

Have you seen A Very Potter Musical? If you haven't, I'll be surprised. The Draco in this seems heavily influenced by the Draco in AVPM in speech and lack of knowledge in using the bathroom, but NOBODY is better than Draco in AVPM. NOBODY.

So Harry now has what I'm going to call Crosswolf venom... Interesting effect of the basilisk venom. Most people just make him immune to all known poisons/toxins. Or turn him into a humanoid dragon. One of the two.

So this is a Harry/Padma story... Eh, works.

Forgot to mention this. Harry actually is of Slytherin's line. If you look at the Peverell family tree, Harry is related to Salazar Slytherin.

Incorrect. While it is hazy exactly when Dumbledore became Chief Warlock, it was before 1981. Dumbledore even stated that he couldn't arrange for a trial back in 1981 in spite of being Chief Warlock.

That explanation of the corrupted protections is good, but I think it would be more believable if it was Dumbledore's tying them to the Blood Wards that screwed them up. After all, the blood wards actually did forge a magical connection between the protections and Petunia, thus allowing her to pervert them to such a degree. Besides, Petunia's hatred of Harry was well known, as was her unwillingness to see/recall the good of Harry and only perceive him as bad, something the Magical World did as well.

Why is it that WIPs always end just when the story is getting to the real meat of it? Thanks, BTW, for not inflicting Umbitch on us. Harry's just the right amount of bad-ass mixed with the dreaded teenager. He's not far too mature or all powerful. He makes mistakes. But he has the determination to carry on protecting those he loves, confounding the Ministry and the sheep while defeating, or at least hindering, bad guys until he's ready for the final confrontation.

What's up with Lucius? We've seen Death Eaters, but not Lucius. Odd, that. Also, no Voldy. But 5th year is not yet over so there is still the end of year battle that brings Voldy out into the open.

I think that Racheal is Hogwarts' avatar.

Luna is Luna. A witch whose depiction in canon leaves so much to interpretation. She can be simply insane due to witnessing her mother's death at such a young age or she can be Fae and tuned into a world we cannot see. She can be as canny as a true Slytherin or an innocent. In all cases, she is not to be ignored.

the non sequential aspect of this story makes it hard to read. i wish the timeline didn't jump around so much. the reader doesn't really want to read about first year when we had already jumped to third year earlier, stuff like that
