I see that it has been over two years since this has been updated but I still hope that it is alive. I very much enjoyed it and am finding the concentration on the magical part interesting.

I like that you are trying to portray Dumbledore in this way. I'm a bit tired of the whole manipulative or evil Dumbledore thing, as it has been done so many times. And you have done a good job of making him out to be the tired old man, it makes him more human.

I think Rachel is a manifestation of Hogwarts. Luna's, Luna gotta love her she'd be a good mate for Harry. Keep up the great work I can't wait for the next part.

It is nice to see an old man that can't see hi way clear to put any of his burdens down is a welcome change for this reader. (Although the great manipulator as seen in may fanfics does have a basis in canon, I must concede.)

I find myself categorizing the first 4 books as for kids versus the rest, which are for older kids at the minimum, partly on that basis; I hate to see kids being totally cynical, and that is a reasonable reaction to Head-in-the-sand Fudge and the abominable Dolores Umbridge.

I have to say this was about the most reasonable and comprehensive explanation of why Harry was stuck at the Dursleys that I have found in fanfiction. I am impressed.

Did I have a brain fart and completely miss the lead up to the names coming out of the Goblet of Fire and the immediate aftermath, or are you simply telling it in the order that makes sense to the story? That is a valid reason for a non-linear narrative, but I keep thinking that I should go beak and re-read.

I wonder if this Harry is less angsty than canon Harry because he has Sirius in his life or because Beast makes him more pragmatic? I really don't know, but Iit is one of the more striking differences. That and an entirely reasonable wariness about the Headmaster.

I really liked seeing your Luna (who is very close to canon) in Harry's year 2. More, please? She makes me laugh.
