| kw chapter 9 . 9/18/2013
I found this story recently, & was gonna start reading it...til I noticed that it was never updated after Dec, 2012. So, ...another fic I won't read. Damn...9 chapters of your hard work...s i g h...

I like this.
I believe in the long run forgiving his father and loving him in spite of all his faults, will make Tony a stronger, better man.
He just has to learn NOT to anticipate his dad making too many good choices in his life.

THAT WAS SO COOL
| binkeybella chapter 9 . 12/31/2012
Yes, Senior is unfortunately a one-way street and the only option Tony has is to accept that and move on. He's had lots of practice at swallowing all the rejection and disappointment in his life, this one is just a little harder to get down, and keep down. No amount of surrogate parenting from Gibbs can replace the hole left by a parent who makes it woefully clear they're not interested in their own kid.
I love seeing Wagner in the role, but hate how he's portrayed as a lovable bumbler instead of a toxin that caused real damage to his child.
This was a nice little tag and addition to Tony's list. Thanks for writing and posting!

This is SO SO lovely. I adore the detail of the miniature car...and I hadn't noticed, but you're RIGHT, that they're doing bucket list things. ::charmed:: Just...so loving this story and this season.

Even better than the... yacht indeed! ;) Nice one!

I enjoyed this very much. This is realistic and I can see Ziva giving him this gift.
And it's perfect.

Haha, I liked Ziva giving him a little replica for his birthday, I think it's definitely the more realistic option. I don't think the replica in the DC spy museum is actually a running vehicle, either.
Namesake was a great episode. Only NCIS can make me cry and then make me laugh again in less than 5 minutes. I was a little surprised that there weren't more prominant Magnum references, if Tony got over-the-top excited about the car, I must've missed it somehow.
Sandy was one scary storm, but I'm from South Jersey and I'm sure that our beach towns will be rebuilt. They're too much a part of our identity to give up on them, even if it hurts like heck to see the damage to my old home town.

I can so see this happening!
They are very in character.
And Matt was a delightful addition.

I am catching up on my reviews of this story, which I am enjoying very much.
I just watched two documentaries/personal reflections on Bogie last week. They were on TCM...one was by Lauren Bacall and one by their son, Stephen Bogart. I recommend them highly if you're a Bogie fan.
I know I am a fan!
And it's great to see Tony AND Ziva appreciating this humble, talented man who really won my heart by facing his cancer down so bravely until the last day. They had an interview with Katherine Hepburn. She and Spencer Tracy were his last visitors outside his family. I found myself crying a few times during both shows.
Thanks for this chapter!

That would have been awesome, to have an ongoing dialog with Ebert about movies.
I find myself envying Tony.
See, you show that all he has to do is step up and good things happen.
