All hail the queen of smut :D But it's not just your gift for writing loving and hot sex in so many new and different ways, the characterisation is spot on, with such a light and deft touch, and so 'them'. I must say, though, that I kept thinking 'it couldn't possibly get that hot in Yorkshire' but I think that's my Australian showing ;D

Well, when I first clicked on the story title (and to be honest when I see it's your author id on a story I don't even bother checking the summary) I had a hugely inappropriate mental image of Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta singing on a high school bleacher stand (Tell me more! Tell me more!). Thank god your story was much better than the musical stylings of Grease. The smut was well written, but my favourite aspect of this fic was undoubtedly the gentle, tolerant complaining that happened at either end of the fic. Thanks!

So much fun! *giggles* I love the way they almost seem to communicate better driven only by desire then reduced to using words to express themselves! There separate but equal needs to touch each other despite the heat where shown brilliantly through there different characters! I agree with other posters this should have a sequel!

It's funny, because it is horrible when you can't sleep when it's hot and absolutely everything irritates you, including another warm body who feels exactly the same! I love that you brought it full circle back to why Mary was annoyed in the first place though. Maybe they should have a cold shower and see if that would cool them down...? ;)

Also, HOW is it so much hotter in the heat? I don't know how you do it, but I don't think there is a shower cold enough to get over this... ;)

Oooh I'm so glad you chose to post it on too because PEOPLE HAVE TO READ THIS.

It's positively smut-tastic! I love it because it's messy, and imperfect, and they take some time to make it work just right - and they both want it, but God it's too hot and it all becomes a confusion of limbs and heated skin on skin until they finally, finally both find that pace and position that is *just right* and conclude with an explosion of pleasure. But, BUT, they also end where they began - more sated, but bickering...because they don't change nor they intend to.

Which I find just awesome, because this mix of a messy perfection IS their relationship. At some point it's uncomfortable, but they still go on because in the end their joined bodies are JUST RIGHT. And aw at Matthew finally finding the perfect solution and Mary being so proud of him - even if he breaths loudly!

Heee the breathing loudly thing was lovely. Because Mary was being impossible and irrational (but I totally understand her, it CAN be awful when it's just SO HOT you can't breath and there's another warm body in your bed and you get just really really irritated) and Matthew eventually humors her with this tender and loving attitude and awwww.

It's a perfect story for a Smut Sunday - which of course is not a real thing and should religiously happen every week :)

Oh, smutty goodness on a Sunday morning :D That funny little way of starting a fight which isn't going to be a fight at all. Smuttiness aside, this was really... I knew exactly what the heat of that air felt like, how annoying even just the sound of breathing would be, the warm air... just stellar writing, really.

For some reason, any time Mary calls Matthew clever.. I just.. laugh and love it.
