Lovely balance in this chapter of stark reality and sparkling banter. You can feel the trust between them, and the concern for each other overriding concern for themselves.

They have such a lovely, easy way together. You can see Garrus's efficiency having been eroded by his fear for her, and Shepard's training as a commander keeping her alert and on top of the situation. Well done.

The tension here is beautifully taut, the emotions high but not shrill. It's a very delicately written chapter. Bravo!
