Why did Ginny think it was okay to get into Harry’s things? I know “fanon Ron” is usually very free about going through Harry’s trunk. He feels quite entitled, in some stories, to take the Marauders Map, Harry’s Invisibility Cloak, and even money he finds in the trunk. Even Hermione, in a few stories, has “borrowed” (without asking) the Cloak and Map. Why do they feel entitled to do this?

I will admit that in more recent stories, Harry tends to keep the Cloak and Map on him, so R&H can’t get their hands on it. These tend to be the stories in which Dumbledore uses Ron and Hermione to “control” Harry.

I’m curious to see what Dumbledore does when he finds out about Fleur. I can’t imagine he will approve. JMHO.

“I'm not playing to the 'rules' in the original HP verse.” I think most ff authors make at least some changes to canon. Others make HUGE changes. I don’t really see the problem. If you don’t make ANY changes, what’s the point? If the reader doesn’t like the changes, stop reading and move on. I’m assuming you aren’t holding people at wand-point and forcing them to read. (Harry/Fleur is actually one of my favorite pairings.)

Poor Harry! It seems the bad luck has already started. Well, meeting Fleur is apparently a good thing — unless Ron decides to be a butthead about it. Then again, that seems to be Ron’s general demeanor in year four. Perhaps he’ll be different this time, who knows?

Your understanding of forgiveness makes me sad. Of course the dursleys don’t deserve it. But failure to extend it almost guarantees the root of bitterness taking hold in Harry. We pay a price to forgive but that price gives us freedom

This is a great story. Totally get why you pushed back on folks not liking your bashing. It’s your story you’re free to write it how you want. I’m thankful to read it.

I say that as a guy who doesn’t like Weasley bashing. I feel like they are real characters with strengths and weaknesses—not Ron’s fault he’s the only character who acts like a realistic teen haha.

Worst...epilogue...ever. What kind of monster would end a story like this? It's fantastic otherwise, but to give them so much happiness only to destroy it? it's not a Stephan King book, it should resolve with happiness and an ending befitting the sacrifices Harry has made. It just seems like a cheap way to deal with the characters. To discard them without giving them a chance to beat the odds, something they've done repeatedly throughout their storyline. It's too final, destiny cannot be cheated, fate is fixed, and all that, topics which simply don't work when we're dealing with Harry who always overcomes unachievable obstacles to his happiness. If you rewrite this, dump the crap ending and fix it. Find a way for Harry and Fleur to win, to do otherwise is a disservice to everything you've built up to.

Why is no one questioning why Harry was put in first place? Not only did he take a spike to the shoulder but he also passed out... AGAIN. He couldn't complete the task without help from the Dragon handlers and Dumbledore. If the others performed as they did in cannon then Cedric got a little burnt, Krum broke a few of the eggs, and Fleur got her skirt singed. Why exactly was he put in first place when he was shit in comparison to the others?

To tell you the truth i wasn't expecting harry to be that angry with ginny and molly, i mean sure he can get angey sometimes but the fact that he's that angry because ginny see the necklace he buy make it looks like he's head to toe with fleur

To be honest Harry’s behaving like a dick head at this point , friends are allowed to ask what’s going on in your life and not be told that it’s none of their business.
