Belle is just so amazing in this chapter especially at the end

I prefer to think of Rumple as vulnerable, not a coward. When people are called a coward, it is often because they run from things instead of facing them, so when it comes to love, Rum can act like a coward, but I don't blame him. When someone has been hurt, it is hard to have the courage to take a chance, not knowing if it will lead to another heartbreak. The fact that he is letting Belle back into his life, or fighting for her, is in fact very courageous for someone who is afraid they will be hurt, or believe that they are unlovable. Maybe therapy would help?

Rumplestiltskin has always insisted he wasn't a man, and here we see one possible explanation why. I've always thought that the child's vision Picasso strove to emulate would be a requirement for a mage- simplicity, singlemindedness, and faith.

I don't know that the waters would actually have returned Bae- might have been worth a try, had Rumplestiltskin thought of it. Belle is right about that much!
Still, it seems that Emma's skills ought to have been factored into the equation. Or did he hope to hang onto that unspecified favor for a while longer?
