|Reviews for Feathers 2 : The Day's Most Quiet Need|
| Guest chapter 1 . 9/29/2016
One really felt for Jessamie in the original episode, "Shadow Of A Dead Man". She was really torn between a rock and a hard place. The theme of shadows, brought to mind the song, "The Prayer", from the "Quest For Camelot". She needed to find a place to be safe from the shadows of her past. And with Johnny's help, she found that place.
In this story, she has evolved beyond that physical place, but the present is still over taken by the shadows of her past.
Love how "Sonnets From The Portuguese", sets the tone for her internal quest. Nothing shakes, the brooding, not even, the lovely reminiscing over a Connecticut autumn.
The shadows of the past, the rape, and the consequences, remain ever present. Shadows that appear to remain un alterable.
If anyone could help Jessamie step out of those shadows, and find her way back into the sunlight, it would be Johnny. His love would help her, bask in the warmth of the sun.
Yup, Grandma's marble slap will never be looked at again in quite the same light.
Neither will Jessamie. Smile.

It maybe seemed bleaker than Candle in the Sun, but then Johnny appeared and the sun came out for Jessamie and the reader. I wasn't sure if you were going to go for a happy end or not...glad you did. Lovely story hon especially the ending!
