love the way this story's written; the different POVs, the real raw feel to it, how the relationships are shaped, how the feelings ring human and true. this is truely a rich read, an awesome plot.

I don't know if it's just me being a jerk (heh...), but I think Naruto should die in the end of this. Don't kill me! Just think about it...It would add another dramatic and moving touch to this story which is one of the things I really like about it. It's so unique (not sure if I've said this before...). Then again, we already have Itachi. Plus, I think Naruto should die in the very end after his life and everyone's life around him gets a better resolve. I dunno. Just a thought. You probably have a wonderful ending planned and I wouldn't want to change it even if I could.

I fucking love this story despite the fact I hate Fagaku, wish Mikoto would cry the spine to leave his cheating ass and get to know her boys, hate Kurenai(don't even have a reason for this just do) wish Mito would shut the hell up and Itachi wasn't dying, wish Shikamaru and Ino weren't together and that Shika wasn't such an ass of the asses of the world. Other than that...I fucking love this story. I'm so damn serious

I hate the shika/Ino pairing . Yuck. Also Shikamaru seems like a real asshole to me.

| sasunaru680 chapter 30 . 1/9
Loved this chapter very dramatic. The back story of Aasuke on him, and Naruto thinking over Jon. The super part when the Uchiha's found out about Itachi's cancer.
Once again loved it! And can't wait for the next chapter to be updated

So so so good, you are so talented. I'm so impressed by your writing, your ability to convey emotion is breathtaking.
Will you have Sakura find out about Naruto's sex and reveal it to everyone? Or will you have Fugaku walk in on Naruto and Sasuke and try to beat one of them in front of the other? I can't even make any suggestions, you're already taking this story down this amazing path that there isn't really anything I can even try to contribute.
Thank you for the update! Looking forward to the next one .

I was going to try to express how much i love this, but you're one of those authors whose writing is so good that when i try to leave a review i get all nervous because i know you'll see it, and I end up typing something stupid.

Oh man, I had a feeling about Itachi and his health. I think that it is interesting that Naruto was able to sense something, but then again Itachi was asking for him to do something in such curious way. Naruto will definitely be there for Sasuke. It seems like Naruto is close to moving on and forgiving Jon.

im in love with this book already great job!

The meeting between Naruto and Kurenai was surprising, but nice. It was unexpected how much she could relate to Naruto's situation (probably the only character in the fic who could, somewhat). Some of the stuff she's done in this fic makes a lot more sense now that we know about her past. (Like her affair with Fugaku. I take it he was the second bad-ex she was referring to in her conversation with Naruto?) She has a tendency to go after unhealthy relationships, it seems. Hopefully she won't screw things up with Asuma now that's finally in a good situation with a decent person.
Another nice thing about Naruto and Kurenai meeting is that it gave Naruto a little unexpected closure about his father's hated ex. Even if he can't get it from Jon (yet), he ended up getting it from Kurenai. Things aren't always black and white (Kurenai was definitely right about that) and she didn't turn out to be the total villain he thought she was. And surprisingly, her advice to Naruto was good. You can forgive bad things but you can't forget them. (I think part of moving on is accepting that fact because it frees you from dwelling on the bad things.)
But all that applies only to Naruto. In my opinion, Sasuke and the rest of the Uchihas have the right to keep thinking of Kurenai as a villain. At least Minato was separated from Kushina when he and Kurenai were involved. (Normally I'd assume she and Sasuke would never meet again, but she's handling Itachi's will, so maybe Sasuke will get a little closure himself, eventually.)
Oh man, Fugaku. It was bad enough that he thought to make comments about Sasuke's sexuality when he caught him with the piercings, but it's worse now that we discover he already knew Sasuke is bi. (What did he think he was going to do? Shame away the gay?) So I guess Sasuke is bi, but with a preference for women if Suigetsu and Naruto are the only males Sasuke has been attracted to. I wonder what Fugaku will say after they find out Naruto is transgender. (It's hard to say how people's prejudices will manifest themselves. I could easily imagine him going either way and being relieved about it and refusing to think of Naruto as a real male or their relationship as a gay one, or being totally weirded out by it and almost wishing Suigetsu would come back so Sasuke could at least be involved with a cisgender male.)
Itachi... I don't know what to say. :( It was ugly how it all came out, but what else could Konan do? Anyone in her position would wonder if the family knew and was keeping it from her, so she had to talk to them. And how much longer did Itachi think he could hide it from them? With all the squinting he was doing in this chapter, it sounds like his condition is finally starting to become noticeable. Itachi really needs his family's support, even if he doesn't want to acknowledge it. Besides, they also need the time to grieve and make their peace with this. Konan was right, unfortunately. He handled this in a very selfish way. (The worst thing he did was probably to hide it from Konan, however. Not everyone has the emotional fortitude to be able to marry a dying person. He should have given her the choice on whether or not she thought she could handle it.)
So almost done with part I, huh? A lot has happened in this fic, so I feel surprised that we're already on chapter 30. It's like the chapters have passed quickly, or something. Normally, by the time a fic hits the 30 chapter mark, I'm really starting to notice the length and questioning whether or not I want to continue reading on. Most fics that have nothing to offer but the romance could end in 10 chapters or less, if the author is being honest about things, and not trying to drag the story out with all the predictable crap (love rivals/misunderstandings/breakups). But with this fic, because it's about more than who will hook up with who, I still feel like there's a lot of story left to tell and would be happy to stick with you until you reach the end. Keep up the great work :)
