What a wonderful spin on an old and beloved (at least on my part) classic!
| Gwen Eruanna chapter 6 . 3/30/2013
Mycroft wishes he'd called in the Yard? Can't say I blame him. This was only made funnier by the fact that I know the poem it's based on—Buckingham Palace, by A. A. Milne, isn't it?

Took the effort to read Milne's version as well. Your version is quite a clever adaption. I wondered how you'd bring Sherlock into it. Kind of sad but I love the "dined with grief upon a single lettuce leaf".
Any particular reason you chose King George the IV?
Thanks for sharing. Much enjoyed!

Nicely written and arranged!
| Ennui Enigma chapter 9 . 8/26/2012
So sad! I love the second stanza. Poignant and true! The only line that doesn't quite flow for me is the last.
Thanks for a wonderful ramble through your insomia-inspired verse!

And that, say I, is perfect! Great job on this verse!
| Ennui Enigma chapter 7 . 8/26/2012

What's an MBE?
I like the cadence and rhythm of this poem. Nicely put and cleverly composed!
