You know, Ned being alive doesn't change other characters' personalities. Walder Frey and Tywin would still be without honor. Sansa wouldn't think twice about Jeyne, Stannis would never allow whorehouses open, and Robb wold still meet his Talisa or her book equivalent. And the Arya/gendry story bored me, despite the the fact that I like them together. You also mention that arya is 10, even though she is only a year younger than Sansa in the books.
The story is nicely written, but overall, uninteresting.

Okay so I just have to say it because it's bugging the HELL out of me.

Jaqen doesn't pray to the Red God! He prays to the Many-Faced God. He's a Faceless Man, his assassin guild is a religious one. Just because he is from Essos does NOT mean that he prays to the Red God. There are three Religions that I can say are in Essos.
The Red God, Lord of Light-Rhollor.
The Many Faced God of Bravos.
The Great Stallion-the Dorthraki religion.
And I guess the Warlocks have a religion of their own but I'm not sure on that one.

My 12 year old has read all of the original Game of Throne book series. I've only watched the first two seasons of the HBO series. I could never power thru the idea that Ned Stark dies so early into the story.

I've read a lot of Harry Potter Fanfiction and took the notion to find out if there were any Game of Throne stories. And I quickly found your Ned Stark Lives.

So here I am, having never read the original, only watched thefirst twoseasons of the show, and I loved your story. Now I have to read your sequel and I'm nervous that someone I love in your first story will die or someone well get matched in a way I don't like.

I think it's a great thing when I anticipate a story as much as I anticipate the next story in thus series.

Dude, that was excellent. Just one thing. Ned stark is not supposed to be good at playing this game of thrones. But you have turned him into a master. I find that hard to digest.

Alright so I checked and luckily there are two more parts to this of simular size op the authors profile. So luckily this writer seems to be the kind who finishes his works. :)

I'm almost through the whole thing but seeing how few chapters are left i worry. I worry because the story is only just beginning and with the manner in which this author writes it will need to double in size to finish in quality. It's been years since 2012... it will not happen. This means the story is unfinished and spend a lot of time writing the same subject from multiple perspectives in multiple chapters.

We're events truly important then I would not have found myself skipping through vast amounts of text. Alas. I did. On multiple occasions i found myself reading the same shit from a different perspective , sometimes thrice. Often on topics not of importance to the story.

More often than not it was added onto by characters meeting up resulting in them repeating their perspectives in person to each other a few chapters down the road. It was like hearing your mother whine that you need to tidy up your room every 5 minutes untill you do so, uncaring that you wil do it but simply want to finish what you were doing first...

The story is good. The plot is good but too much time was wasted on rereading the same events.

The writer is great at portraying characters and coming up with interesting conversation. Unfortunately it was just not balanced in a way that allows for suitable story progression.

I wish you would get your head out of gendry's ass, we get it they like eachother, you can stop parading it around for 30 chapters at this point I skip as soon as arya or gendry is mentioned because I want to skip the cringe. pls do us a favour and tone it down aryas 10 at this point shes more focused on exploring and adventure not blushing and sputtering like fool.
