| PaunchyDrunk chapter 8 . 9/18/2016
I love how you wove Katniss' Native background into the narrative. Stories where Katniss is a Woman of Colour are always appreciated, and it's a treat when her ethnocultural roots are properly explored. It's even better that you are writing about your own culture, so thanks for sharing that with us.
If you ever get a yearning to continue this story, even it's five years from now, know that you'll have at least one reader still eager for more.

More, you must write more! Thank you for what you've written though. It's very good.

Absolutely beautiful and captivating story! I hope you are planning on continuing it at some point because I'd love to read more!
| Kay chapter 8 . 8/21/2014
This story is fantastic; I love the detail and descriptiveness as it really gives a sense of the characters and their surroundings I.e., the description of Katniss running through the grass, every step giving her strength. That was really powerful. Love the relationship between Katniss and Peeta and I hope to be able to read more about their budding romance :D
Not sure if this story is going to be continued but I'd love to see more! Either way, know that you are quite talented.

| ImprovementByExtensiveReading chapter 8 . 5/9/2014
I love having Katniss be indigenous. When I read the books, I always picture her dad being native and Katniss having his strong features. So Katniss is from the Mockingjay tribe but Gale is from the Bear tribe? Haha, I'm always glad when Peeta is Katniss's first kiss. I know it's been a while since the last update, but I hope there will be more chapters in the future? I've really been enjoying this story so far and would like to see how it ends!

| Aundielen chapter 8 . 4/1/2014
I'm really enjoying this story so far and I do hope that you're planning on continue this! It's so important to get more stories about women of color and native women especially out there in the media, even if it's fanfiction. And this is the only story I've read (and I've read a lot) where race is addressed, so I think it's a really important story to tell. Sending you good vibes to continue! D
| Aundielen chapter 7 . 4/1/2014
Really loved the description of the tree marking Katniss's father
| Aundielen chapter 6 . 4/1/2014
Some really beautiful lines here about Katniss' father
| Aundielen chapter 5 . 4/1/2014
Why does Peeta need to force Katniss to look at him? If she wanted to look at him, she would
| Aundielen chapter 4 . 4/1/2014
Loved the inclusion of the native culture here, would love to see more of it! Do you know what tribe specifically Katniss would be a part of in Kentucky?
| Aundielen chapter 3 . 4/1/2014
Is there something going on between Gale and Katniss in this fic? Kinda getting a bit of that vibe from that last line about Gale smoothing Katniss's hair back
