|Reviews for Once But Never Again|
| Quarterbreed chapter 1 . 5/28/2012
Oh gosh, this was so good. Their pain, the awkwardness, the necessity of Brennan leaving again, so that they didn't have time to resolve anything.
| jsboneslover chapter 1 . 5/28/2012
Oh, you're so good. This story is masterful in so many ways. First, highlighting the pain of the separation between B&B, finally giving us some closure on what Pelant did with the clock and seeing the growth in their understanding of how the game needs to be played, and giving them a little "do-over" of the last scene of the finale. VERY WELL PLAYED. Please keep writing!

That chapter was just awesome. I felt every emotion.
| nertooold54 chapter 1 . 5/28/2012
Pelant had looked up at the camera as if he knew it was there. Has Booth looked for bugs? Excellent beginning. I agree with you about Pelant not being necessarily smarter, just more devious.
| eitoph chapter 1 . 5/28/2012
The quote you've chosen for the summary is perfect. To actually reflect on the ordinariness of it all and what she's become hit me right in the gut in the BEST way.
Of course she came back, this made me the happiest and the most satisfied of all. I just want them to bring Pelant down and come back together so they can actually work through all this mess instead of having to walk away from each other every time. I love that he got another chance to say goodbye, I love the emotion of it and how PERFECTLY you depicted it.
Why are you the most awesome ever?
| Yatobu chapter 1 . 5/28/2012
This is definitely my favorite finale fics. I love that you show us that their relationship is way too strong to be destroyed by bad person like Pellant. The words 'Good guys win' give me comfort as much as 'I'm gonna get my family back'. A promise that everything is going to be okay.
| Fourth Rose chapter 1 . 5/28/2012
*fangirls* I love, love, love this - it's so full of incredible details that each tell a little story on their own, and the effect of them all coming together is just breathtaking.
I'll happily second the reviewer who pointed out that this would be an excellent beginning for a longer fic, but it works perfectly as a stand-alone as well - to me, the hope and determination outweigh the pain and heartbreak, so I found this story to be the most uplifting finale tag I've read. The center is holding in spite of everything they're going through, and that's awesome to see :))
| Frankie707 chapter 1 . 5/28/2012
This made me all teary. It really is heart-crushing. Now that is a different use for the alarm clock; I like that...a use I hadn't thought of. :)
| Fluffybird chapter 1 . 5/28/2012
Good story but wrenching.
| FauxMaven chapter 1 . 5/28/2012
You may consider yourself late to the party, but this was still your excellent enjoyable story-telling on display. Thank you.
| my-completeness chapter 1 . 5/28/2012
That was excellent! I liked seeing the alarm play a part that wasn't bomb. Can't believe this is just a one shot! Great work!
| ProfeJMarie chapter 1 . 5/28/2012
Love the opening scene with Brennan. Seems just exactly right.
Excellent capture of emotions, as is your talented norm. :D
Excellent use of the clock. PM coming your way.
| NatesMama chapter 1 . 5/28/2012
This is so fantastic. You captured the desperation and sadness and it's just so good. Well done.
| Dyna63 chapter 1 . 5/28/2012
Wow that was great. I can see her sneaking back to make sure he is okay.
| AmandaFriend chapter 1 . 5/28/2012
Excellent story. Very angsty and very true to the characters. I especially like that the clock is more of a torture device than a bomb (as I've seen elsewhere.)
