This was an amazing, interesting take on the Clint/Loki dynamic. And I've gotta say, I was EXTREMELY relieved when you didn't kill Phil. So thanks for that. :D

I had fun reading your story. :)

| Guest chapter 11 . 5/27/2014
That was certainly not what I expected, but it was probably what I needed. Thank you for writing it.
| Lil'Fuj13 chapter 11 . 12/7/2013
THAT WAS AWESOME! I totally love the relationship between Loki and Clint, and you really did a great job in the whole semi alternate universe!

This was really good, it inspires interesting thoughts b/c of the style used to portray the perspectives—thank you, for sharing :)
| 1CharmedPhoenix chapter 10 . 12/6/2013
Loved the explanation behind Loki's so-called madness. Too often, the Aesir, Thor, and Thor's parents just don't seem to really get it. But I love the fact that you had Stark, of all people, explain. Perfect and such believable characterization!

Reading this so far and I'm really enjoying some great points—ideas, thoughts—that have made me really think about Loki's motivations for dealing with the Chitauri. I mean, I always thought he really lacked conviction when it actually came to ruling earth but the things you've mentioned—I.e. The fall from the Bifrost versus the fall from the cage—well, if he could survive that, he probably could survive a the 30,000 ft plunge or whatever. I like your story a lot. It is well written and I love the interesting perspective from both Loki and Clint.
| MomotsukiNezumi chapter 11 . 11/10/2013
This...is fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. The internal viewpoints, the characterizations, the attention to detail...mindblowing. And I must admit, seeing Loki doing his whole "Invade Midgard with an army of aliens and flying space whales" while secretly keeping to his own agenda and NOT really trying to rule the world is very refreshing. The mind-control scenario was very-well done as well, and I love the fact that Tony and Natasha called Thor out on Asgard's culturally-backwards crap and helped him realize that Loki's upbringing sucked.
And I'm so glad that Phil Coulson survived, I liked him.

This was really good. It could go under Teen if you wanted to put it there.
| LikeIdTellU chapter 11 . 10/6/2012
Wow, this actually explains a lot and I love your portrayal of Loki and Clint
| Potkanka chapter 11 . 9/26/2012
Wow, this was awesome!
This take on the story explained many things about Loki not acting like the scheming genius he's supposed to be (I still hope it will be at least kind of explained in Thor 2) and I loved the friendship between him and Clint despite the mind-control (it made me all giddy inside the first time Clint adressed Loki as "boss" after the mind control was broken, like "Yay, he didn't turn away from him after all!", because I was honestly still a bit worried about that).
Sure I had the urge to stop reading the moment you mentioned Clint and Coulson are lovers, but the story was captivating enough for me to let it slide at that time... and I'm glad I did, because it actually worked here. Mainly because it had a legitimate place in the plot but at the same time it was far from the main focus of the story, simply one of the parts of it. Also, no graphic, detailed sex scenes, thank you! Their relationship was actually pretty sweet here, though it by no means makes me want to ship them XD It just worked in this story :)
Description of Loki's thoughts was really well done, and his relationship with Thor believable. It wasn't hard to understand Loki's hate for his "non-brother" and more than many other fics made me realize just how much they screwed with Loki in Asgard (not that I didn't know about it already, but it was oh so painfully described here...). I'm glad those two came to a sort of a truce with a promise of mending their relationship. I'd hoped for a mention about it in the epilogue, to see how they are doing, but I guess if Thor got more lessons from Tasha and Loki got more okay with being who he is, their relationship could only get better, if they worked on it. I still wonder if he's still decided to take revenge on Asgard, though, as it would be a bit awkward in their newly mended brotherhood... XD
But I'm glad he could finally took revenge on the Chitauri. I'm not a fan of revenge, but... Chitauri were still probably after him, right? So it's also like taking precaution? (I'd want to say that they seems like mindless bloodthirsty beasts and the world is better off without them, but why does it feel like Loki's reasoning for destroying Jotunheim? My own thoughts scare me...).
And at least Loki is kind of content right now. He has friends: Clint as well as scientists to have fun with them concerning research, he seems to be on good terms with the other Avengers too and his "Team Neutral and Therefore Awesome" sounds... well, awesome :D But damn, I hoped you'd elaborate more on Tony's new powers. I would be completely satisfied with this happy end promising even more great things in the future, but that mention of Tony with his new abilities he's enjoying so much he resembles a villain, well, that would make for a promising sequel. Or at least a one-shot: that showdown with Doom XD
Anyway, I just wanted to tell you that this story was amazing, thank you for sharing it with us and good luck with your future writing! :)
