| vincent1875 chapter 20 . 7/10
I wonder if he's planning to cut their throats in their sleep or something. Good chapter.
| vincent1875 chapter 19 . 7/9
lol. What an amusingly douchy thing to drop such a prophecy being dying. Good chapter. They should have tried fleeing after the second wave.
| vincent1875 chapter 18 . 7/9
I totally don't see how this plan will work. They should just cut their losses and get the girls to safety before worrying about Ned.

I read through your basic history in Spacebattles and I must say you have given much thought to your story. But your fic suffers the problems most fanfics do:you don't seem to realize the full implications of a single change. According to you, the Numenoreans had a hand in crowning Rhaenyra. The consequences of that changes the very history of House Targareyen. If
Rhaenyra's Velaryon sons are still alive by then, that would mean we will have a different dynasty on the iron throne with different wars and different dynamics. The Baratheons would be different but I suppose the Starks would be largely the same(since it doesn't interfere with that line of succession but it does change the outlook and dynamics entirely). There may be no House Blackfyre, there will probably no succession problems in the aftermath of Baelor and I doubt Aerys II would've been born. You have to find some other reason for Brandon and Rickard to be killed if Eddard is lord of Winterfell. You can't change something as major as that and stick to canon. Any change has to come from characters and situations and the emotional and logical causes underlying relationships.

Great chapter! It's good to see that Beregond survived and that his survival is already having an impact on the story. I was never a fan of the "brotherhood without banners" plot-line (on the TV show; haven't read the books) so I like that they have a purpose now beyond just wondering around the riverlands playing Robin Hood. Your way, they're still involved with the main events and are making themselves useful. Gendry was awesome too! Hopefully he'll learn lots from the company he's keeping. Thanks for the update!

Finally an update and please continue it! I'm so loving this! Great chapter too! Loved the LOTR reference in this chapter of Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas chasing after orcs carrying off Merry and Pippin to Isengard through the lands of Rohan with the hunters (Gendry, Beregond, Thoros, Anguy and several others) chasing down The Troll and his band carrying off Isildur!
Can't wait to see the hunters corner and kill the Clegane troll and his dogs and rescue Isildur from Lannister capitivity!
Happy Writing! XD

A delight as always EricD...
You know, this is the only fanfic I've recommended to someone who reads avidly but has never given fanfics a try. The hard part is always getting to the end of the chapter! But gushing isn't productive posting...
I'm hoping for more structural deviation from the canon. Keep and don't kill Ned; free Isildur now that we already have a death in the family as causus belli. Break from the norm and have the following conflicts in the War of Five Kings be more decisive. Don't be afraid to actually have the Lannisters lose outright. Things outside Westeros are different, you don't have to toe the line within it! This is a golden opportunity in an excellently written story to indulge in What Ifs and other deviations from the normal routine. How dull would it be if we just had another rehash of Robb Stark's campaign, betrayal and death, and Joff's poisoning (though I see you hinted at the same sort of death with the 'drowning' remark as in drowning in your own blood). Take off the reins and ride into new and unexpected territory!
