Reviews for The House of Elendil
MrFinancier chapter 15 . 8/9/2024
15th chapter is absolute bullshit. Isildur looked like an idiot. Although he is not an Isildur from canon LOTR. Story was pretty cool, but this chapter ruined it all. So stupid...
Guest chapter 1 . 1/29/2024
To those who like this fic you are all pathetic piece of garbage
2000str chapter 5 . 6/2/2023
it's sad that this fanfic author has to insert a Numenorian everywhere, Valandil is made a total loser for the plot dany canon to continue unchanged, and Elendil and Isilduir's wife are thrown under the train for more lame plot device! overall lame!
Guest chapter 23 . 3/28/2023
Holy crap they took over Meeren I mean it makes sense it's close to the ocean and I doubt that the sons of the heartbeat would have been very. Open-minded about the black numenoreans so yeah annihilation was on The chopping block. This is a very good story please keep it going I am very interested in what happens next although. It has been a very long time since you've written it I am very interested.
MrScorch chapter 23 . 1/8/2023
Like many said before, this fic goes the infuriating way of somehow keeping up with the canon (How does numenorian presence change so little?) and it continues with the plot of the first book/season (I think even Tywin would not dare risk getting himself to be singular target of Gondor). Well, shame it's dead, won't see the curse on Joffrey come into effect.
Lordofslytherin692 chapter 7 . 6/7/2022
To anyone who reads the reviews on stories before the story itself; please do yourself a favour and don't read this. I've given up after seven chapters.
I chapter 14 . 3/14/2022
am done.
I know it’s the series. I know that things happen. But I just can’t bare to read more.
I chapter 5 . 3/14/2022
just have to stop. Ironic, I know.
But, this series is truly revolting.
Reveling in the absolute worst in men. Horrible. Dreadful. And totally unwanted.
No. We all need Jesus.
This chapter 1 . 3/14/2022
has more than captured my attention.
Hopefully proves better then another story which lost all of my points.
blahblah4234 chapter 23 . 1/30/2022
This is such a great read. I sincerely wish the author continues or sb is able to take over the story!
Guest chapter 4 . 10/4/2021
Sin ofender pero isildur en esta historia parece un marica idealista que es capas de levantar la voz y hacer respetar su autoridad la misma mierda que ned Stark en el original
MLP-Trinary chapter 3 . 9/21/2021
I just discovered this story an am slowly making my way through it. It's certainly an interesting premise for a GoT/LOTR crossover, mixing the "present" of GoT with the "past" of LOTR! Most would've had a post-Targaryen Westeros encountering a late Third Age Middle-Earth, or if they were going to do something with Numenor and the Second Age, probably work it into the Targaryen Conquest of Westeros. Mixing it up is a fresh take, to be sure.

It's clear that you're very familiar with the lore of Tolkien, but I do feel constrained to point out one or two (ultimately minor) errors in Isildur's recounting of the tale of Fingolfin (my favorite Noldor High King).

Feanor did not slay "many" balrogs. While that is actually from an earlier draft, Tolkien removed it later on (along with another mention of Morgoth mustering "hundreds" of balrogs for one of the great battles), insisting that there should be no more than three or, at most, seven balrogs in total. No balrogs were slain until the fall of Gondolin, centuries later. Feanor did face the balrogs and made a good fight of it, but he didn't kill any before he was mortally wounded.

I get that you were abridging things a bit and focusing mostly on Fingolfin, but I do regret that Fingon's rescue of Maedhros from Thangorodrim was left out as it was a great moment for both characters. I have a bit of a soft spot for Maedhros, despite everything, as he was probably the best of Feanor's sons. He didn't pass over the kingship because Fingolfin's claim was better, because it really wasn't (in terms of inheritance, at least). He voluntarily renounced it to heal the rift between the Houses of Feanor and Fingolfin, recognizing that Fingolfin was wiser than he, and because he was not happy about the Burning of the Teleri Ships and stranding of Fingolfin and wanted to make amends for it. In fact, he had asked Feanor after they arrived who would be in the next wave of ships to come over, specifically mentioning Fingon, who he had a great friendship with. Feanor's response was to have the ships burned. The jerk.

I suspect you probably knew this and was just having Isildur tell the most interesting and engaging version of those events possible for the Stark kids, but I just thought I'd point it out. Ultimately very minor details and I do appreciate the depth and detail you go into.
Guest chapter 23 . 7/13/2021
When I read the downfall of Numenor for the first time; I had never stopped and thought that the Kings men were still men deep down, that their love for the Sea shall never die. Their love of the see you had shown gave them a sense of humanity to them. The sea is the one thing Sauron shall never take away from their hearts; their love of the sea remained their one last pure God given seed which was planted in their hearts long ago.

I also really liked the slaughter of the Dothraki and the realisation of Jura of just how superior the Numenoreans. It was at that point that Jura saw how merciful the House of Elendil was.

I hope that Eru Spared some of the kings men for a reason; maybe they wish to seek the forgiveness of Eru, or at least some of them.

I really want to see the white fleet of Elendil sail in all its might against the Lannister’s and just make Tywin watch as his house shall be destroyed by the Numenoreans in their wrath; I want to see Joffrey look into the eyes of Isildur; at which he shall have his kind shattered and his will broken and dominated by the Numenorean.

I want Cersi to watch it all happened and same with Jamie.

I want to see the Numenoreans under Elendil completely destroy all of the unworthy noble houses and tear down their riches and give it to those deserving and worthy. I want to see the Numenoreans sail to westoros from Gondor and Arnor in all their might.

In fact before they destroy house Lannister and all those unworthy. I want them to wait what seems a few months to the Numenoreans but years to those inferior and then; in all their might in hundreds of thousands sail with a fleet so large and white that it could as close to the fleet of Ar-Pharazon’s as much as possible.

They would be at such a large and overwhelming force that even lord Tywin and all those against house Elendil true king of men.

They would all open their gates and sue for mercy in hopes that the honour they knew the Numenoreans had would still be somewhere inside them.

Once mighty Tywin would be on his hands and knees of his own will; begging for mercy; for Jamie and cersi, but they shall receive none; save Tyrion for they knew and could see in his eyes his innocence and thus named him lord of house Lannister and all titles and lands that came with it; under the condition he swears fealty to the house of Elendil king of men and his heirs.

Tyrion would accept this. Tywin would for the first time rage and show his rage in words only but would soon shut up when The Numenorean king peered into his eyes and forced his will on him.

Cersi, Tywin and Jamie would most likely be put to death.

And peace would reign until the Kings men of Numenor set their yes on the isle of Elendil.
Guest chapter 7 . 7/12/2021
The one thing I hated about this chapter was the fact that a Numenorean didn’t just sweep the floor with Jamie Lannister. Jamie is very skilled in GOT but holds both to a Numenorean who are literally superhuman. I’m sure that if he wanted to; He could of killed Jamie very quickly. I also don’t like the Idea of the Numenoreans being subjected to be ruled by lesser men. I understand the Faithful would not dominate the lesser men but at least they should not be subject to be ruled on by them.
IamOminous chapter 5 . 4/24/2021
So they killed a priest? just saying Aeron Greyjoy is a priest of the Drowned God, he really is important because he's basically the head priest but he's still a priest.
