| Guest chapter 13 . 2/20
I have absolutely no words to describe how beautiful this story is. I promise to myself that i'll get back to this section to write an appropriate review because that, i think, is the best thing i should do in showing my appreciation of this story. But right now i can only say...THIS IS BEAUTIFUL!
Thank you for making this and congratulation for such a wonderful job.

love it, although am not used to this dark kind of theme, and the ending was a bit not sweet enough for me, it do fit the story perfectly.

Fantastic, you write beautifully!
Just a little thing- there are no 500 shekel bills, just 20, 50, 100 and 200

Once I started reading, I just couldn't stop! I was so drawn into this world and was able to feel the characters' suffering so well that I couldn't stop myself from crying near the end.. well past midnight. I haven't had any good read lately, so thank you for this amazing story! It's an awesome read, indeed! Brilliant! Thank you!

This was a /great/ story! I very much appreciate that you added that epilogue because it leaves things on an optimistic note. Stories that end with uncertainty in the situation between the characters leave me a bit unsatisfied and down (not that they can't be great stories, of course).
My only criticisms would be that there were occasions where I wished thing had blossomed into something a bit more amusing or sentimental (perhaps creating more brevity of words for stronger effect or some more witty banter in other places), though excuse me for not remembering specific moments. Also, you used the word "stoic" often, so perhaps try substituting it with another word. Of course, this is all personal opinion!
"I insist on staying in touch...But there's no reason there can't be some...other incentives." This part and everything in between was /brilliant/! I think I verbally expressed my approval and smiled when I read that. Really, really clever!
Also, Sherlock's "Everything" reply in Chapter 5 was powerful. I don't know why, but I fell in love with that little moment.
There were many more things that I loved about this story, but I think it'd take quite a while for me to list them all.
All in all, it was a pleasure to read and I loved it! Thank you very much for writing it!

Absolutely beautiful! I adored every moment of this and think you stayed impressively in character throughout the whole thing. I can't wait to read your other stories!

I wanted to let you know just how beautiful this was to read, but I'm sure you already know that. Congratulations on such a beautiful work.

I already read the whole thing I just wanted to come back and review. This was phenomenal. Well-written, fairly well researched, and excellent management of both imagery and the characters themselves. Truly fabulous.

What a lovely story. This pairing isn't usually to my liking; I'm more of a Sherlock/Molly fan, but I make exceptions and I'm glad this was one of them. Drug induced Sherlock in chapters 2 - 4 had me bawling. I replayed "Bizarre Love Triangle" by New Order over and over again and made the scenes all the more disturbing and emotional for me. They were incredibly intense and you handled them marvelously. Well done. I've also noticed a pattern concerning Sherlock/Irene love scenes: they're always so damn passionate. And exceedingly in-character, it's scary. Sherlock is so uncharacteristically lost and Irene is so playful. It was all very sweet. I am, however, a little disappointed Sherlock went back to drugs after all of the reassurance he led Irene to believe in the last days of their time together. It was very stupid of him and I praise Irene for handling it better than I ever could've. For all their bravado and prowess Sherlock and Irene are a little thick-headed in their own way, aren't they? I can see how frustrating it is to have to ship these two on a regular. They really are perfect for each other. What a pairing. As I've stated before this was such a lovely story. I hope as a non-Sherlock/Irene shipper this review doesn't come across as condescending or snobbish. I really did enjoy it. Thank you so much for writing and sharing with us.

I'm leaving the review in this chapter rather than the epilogue because, as I haven't read Sign of the Four, I feel like I'm out of context there...
A friend of mine recommended this fic to me a while ago and, shame on me, I was a little apprehensive about reading it at all. I'm not a fan of *very* dark stories, and the overall theme of this falls heavily in that category. Yet I must say I'm glad I gave it the chance, because it's flawless, very emotive and sometimes so dark it seems neither Irene nor Sherlock will have any sort of peace until they face their demons and oh, they do and quite splendidly!
I think, however dark it is and despite my Adlock shipper heart fluttered with the last story, this story's highlight is your portrayal of Sherlock. Usually, the fics that deal with his addiction start when he's already an addict, so you don't get to see the key moment that forces him into such lifestyle. In here, not only you know it's not his first time with drugs, but you see what drives him into it, you live his full descent. And it's hard not to empathize with him, because this is not for his own pleasure (it's not what he likes, as Irene finally learns), but for his friends, those people he cares about. The whole portrayal of the situation -how he prepares the solutions and injects himself - may seem a bit crude, but it only adds to this story's realism and it makes it all the more perfect.
Then there's Irene. The entire thing is from her POV, which is rather a wise choice. As a reader, I like truly feeling as a spectator of the story, and the fact she is witnessing Sherlock's actions herself makes me feel as if I'm truly watching through her eyes, and you get to see, to understand, what restrains her from making anything that may stop him and the damage she's doing, not only to him, but to herself, because of that.
All of this led to the final story, in which both of them are forced to face their problems and give that final step that changes it all. Above everything, I love Irene's realization that she is what Sherlock likes, the real reason behind his trips to Israel because, even when is Sherlock whose life is in danger because of the drugs, she deals with a heavy burden during the entire story, which is more tangible to me as a reader, so seeing such weight lifting from her shoulders seems somehow more significant to me. Not to mention the last line - absolutely perfect.
This fic was quite an enjoyable read! Your writing is beautiful and fantastic. Hope I can read your other works soon :)
