I legitimately thought kakashi was a goner. Wow, this ending was way more cathartic and wrap-up-y than I expected. This fic has definitely earned a "Fav" - which I rarely give out these days. Thank you for writing it.

Toad-a-port to the hospital roof - when the toad said, "Gopd Times" I laughed out loud. Your story tends to make me do that at unexpected times.

Also, you are really good at propperly foreshadowed yet surprising narrative events. Sum,oming toads to deal with the snakes is another example.

"My mission was to bring back my students. If I return with just two out of three, that would make me trash wouldn't it?" Excellent line. I love that he said "trash", not "worse than trash."

This is just about the best "dealing with moral problems" Arc I've seen. Sakura is a great perspective character for that - she doesn't have the luck or strength or charisma to be a pure idealist. I love that she called on Naruto, I loved her honest dilemma weighing the lives of friends vs teammates, and kakashi's apearance was wonderfully done.

Also, it looks like Itachi framed Sakura to set up the possibility of Sakura defecting when Sasuke does. Itachi has not even appeared on screen, and he is still a magnificent bastard. That was impressively done.

Sakura's framing: awesome. This twist really got me engaged.

I loved nin-ception

"Regrowing lost limbs and wielding weapons made from magma" I laughed aloud at that. Is that a reference to Time Braid? If so, well done.

I really like the depiction of ninja medical school. Ive been looking for that for a while.
Sakura "One Fish" Haruno -I laughed out loud of that. I also like the idea that fish are used for having a simple and thoroughly-studied chakra system. The way they make light of the fish deaths yet aren't frivolous with them is also nicely done - it isn't dissimilar to dissecting human cadavers in most med schools.

I'm sorry, Sakura. From college through medical school, I've had to memorize the ATP cycle eight separate times, and I have never once needed it in my career.

Shikamaru reads the little yellow boxes. That explains so much.

This story was the best portrayal of canon Sakura becoming strong that I've ever read. You're an amazing author, and an even better storyteller. Keep writing!
