Marlene in this story is soo cool

I LOVE THIS! However, I am confused. How are Esmee and Cas in the same year as Lily and etc if they got Sorted that year too?

Woo! Love it! But couldn't that whole situation been fixed, with smartphones? An alarm, and TEXT MESSAGING. I swear, the whole time I was reading it I was like 'Just text them!' Then I'm like 'It's the 70s bro.'

This story is so well put together, and the ending is just sooooo sad. I can't express my sadness but this story managed to render me speechless. The ending is just, no words. Thank you for this story and thank you so so much, this story is amazing.

The bit where it says''It was a little cold out, so despite it being early October'' In England, any early October night would be pretty chilly. I kinda feel bad that the only reason I review is tell you about spelling errors and such, so I'm just gonna say that I love the story!

I have three things to say, in order of importance.
3: Is guttery a word? I'm pretty sure it's guttural, but it doesn't matter, you're not going to change it now.
2: It ain't high school here in England, we go to secondary school.
1: Now something that actually matters. Lily definitely lived a much better life than Petunia. I don't care if Petunia's life was three times longer, Lily actually lived. Petunia didn't live. She was a dramatic, gossiping snob, who wanted the impossibility of normality. Lily had real, wonderful friends, was a kind human, found true love, and died for the people she loved.

I love all the feminism in this story! Specifically Marlene, but Dorcas right there is just...Go Dorcas!

I actually feel terrible for Sirius, because I know, Marlene does not like him back, and plus, I don't think Sirius is used to liking someone and them not liking him back.
Now Lily. Oh Lily. (Prepare for a long rant to a fictional character, folks!) I just wish she would give James a chance! Platonically I mean. She's just so damn stubborn! I'm pretty sure her subconscious mind likes him, even jut a little. Plus, she has to know that Marlene wouldn't be friends with someone horrible. And yes, she has seen him do pretty horrible stuff to Snape, like James said, she - just, argh. Lils. I want to know what she looks for in a partner. I'm going to guess, since she cannot tell me.
Smart: James is smart, and she knows that.
Kind: James is kind, she doesn't know that, but Marlene could for sure tell her.
Contained: Not James. Then again, this is what she looks for in a partner, not nessacerily what's best. She is sixteen after all.
I can't think of any more, but it makes me sad that thy could've gotten together so much earlier.

I hate Pettigrew from the bottom of my heart. Fans think the most hateable character is Voldemort or Umbridge but honestly, there is no one who should be loathed as much as Wormtail. Prongs was stupid, choosing Wormtail over Padfoot? choosing a rat over a dog? This is honestly one of the best Jily fanfic out there. Awesome writing, characters and storyline. I can't imagine another way how James and Lily could have happened. Thank you so much for writing this.

I'm reading this review during my 21 day hotel quarantine and it's been years since you published this so I'm not sure you'll see it but you have me completely hooked. Your storytelling is fantastic and it's a pleasure to read. Thank you for making my quarantine pass by a lot easier.

Wow. This monster was excellent! Although there were quite few spelling errors along the way, you created such a deep, rich, emotional story. At times it was heart wrenching, but you constantly showed that love is worth fighting for. I’m sure this took you an eternity to write, so I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU for taking the time and dedicating the energy to finishing it. It is BRILLIANT!
