Honestly, this came off as pretty weird to me.

After all, Rider doesn't even know that much about Saber's ideals or the rules she set for herself. So he really has no grounds for calling them stupid (and incidentally, it's hypocritical for him to say that she should ditch her code and live by her gut, because living by your gut is ALSO A CODE).

And it's hardly unreasonable to want to try and fix things for her people and make it so that her efforts to build a kingdom succeed. It's just bizarre to see people acting like it's some sort of unforgivable sin. Remember, the other characters know very little about her life or why her kingdom failed.

Fun fact, in the comics Deadpool actully confessed to a priest. That priest went insane.

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. I’m happy to see Maiya survived, along with Shirou, Ayako, and Aoi, and that Sola-Ui, Shinji, Waver, and Sakura got relatively happy ends. Hearing about that fucking monster Zouken getting his due was a real treat.
But I was quite saddened by many of the deaths in this story, especially Irisviel. I was hoping she would survive.
