Reviews for Harry Potter and the Power of Paranoia
Guest chapter 23 . 6/15
Decent story. Ending felt a bit contrived but I expected that when I saw the previous chapter. If harry and, by extension, hermione were so masterful in their talents, the old bastard should have had his magic stripped from him and then some weird magical whammy to make him seem crazy. A runic tattoo and a ward, keyed intoba necklace or something after some sort of developing potion (of hermione's creation) just to make the old bastard suffer as he was told his fate. But, a lot of y'all don't carry that kind of energy towards the end of a story. It's weird. But I did like this.
Guest chapter 22 . 6/15
Of course, they aren't going to kill the old bastard but dammit, all this time on all these darker chapters and they won't even rough him the fuck up some. This is my beef with stories that level harry up, have some really dark stuff happen, and then wiggle their way out of something that has been coming for a long time.

Love the little ways you show the modern magical world vs Britain.
pincho chapter 18 . 6/5
Any sane person would think the same. And didn't Ron let slip to someone that he knew ahead of time?
pincho chapter 16 . 6/5
Should rename the story to the power of ASSumption.
pincho chapter 13 . 6/5
Ok Luna was a nice surprise. The way Harry's paranoia went and Hermione feeling betrayed and abandoned would have never worked out realistically. Luna has just the right amount of Meh in her to be able to overcome the situation.
pincho chapter 10 . 6/4
That was a very cool and creative way to get rid of the leech.
pincho chapter 8 . 6/4
The story has been funny and made sense so far, except that whole no one realizing the boy who lived is no longer at Hogwarts or was close with Hermione. 99% of the population only thought of Harry as such so while it's not surprising that Hermione would completely forget but Ron, please. Ginny would be all over that shit as well.

Otherwise hilarious

great book
Keronshara chapter 18 . 5/10
None of the Weasleys ever warned Harry about the dragon always bugged me too.
Keronshara chapter 10 . 5/10
Someone coming up with at least 120 verses of a song making fun of Voldemort is not just insane, but very, very bored and has waaayyy too much free time on their hands. Plus they are extremely juvenile to have spent that much time coming up with all those verse. Clearly, a crazy, juvenile and bored layabout fits Sirius Black perfectly. I'm afraid to ask if you know what each of those 120 verses might make fun of.
blcoachmac chapter 16 . 5/4
Yeah, he kinda does! Harry ought to put Dumbledore down hard!
Pandamega chapter 23 . 4/28
This has been such an amusing story , and you really touched upon so many plot holes and gripes i have with the original books ! Such a satisfying story !
WolfSongGirl chapter 2 . 4/7
Honestly, I've always thought it makes more sense for the crack to be on arrival than on departing anyway. Arrival includes instantly forcing the air out of the way after all, which would logically produce a loud crack.
Caribous chapter 10 . 4/4
"Ignoring Dumbledore's opinion ..." Always a wise first choice. There are only a couple of places, and very awkward, stilted, expository tell-not-show places they are, where anything Dumbledore claims has any evidence for it. One is Voldemort saying that Dumbledore has protected Harry better than Harry knows. Well, Dumbledore has told Harry almost nothing about said protection, so ... the other is as you say, and I would venture it could be pseudo-Horcrux or something just short of it, and given they don't test it by killing Nagini, then Voldemort, and observing if he's still a wraith, who knows if it was sufficient to keep him around? I also don't trust the Resurrection Stone. It's either like the portraits or worse it puts a curse on the loved ones to make them urge the summoner to commit suicide (as happened with Cadmus), which is what James, Lily and Sirius all did. "It won't hurt?" fuck you parental figures!
