I just can't get enough of your fics, you write Steve and Tony so well. The combination of the shipping and the action and the angst and the whump and the emotions and the snark and the conflict (relationship and villains) is brilliant. You have them make mistakes and go through the difficulty of resolving them. You make Tony vulnerable, yet tough, cocky, snarky, a hero, just like in the films. I tend to read a lot of Steve/Tony more because if not there wouldn't be enough Avengers fics to satisfy my appetite for them, but I loved the romance in this. Ending with 'bring it on' as repeated from earlier was a great way to end it and I was glad it stopped where it did rather than having it turn into porn. Great fic, thanks.

Interesting that Steve had a moment of very human power trip. I like that, it makes him more real despite how creepy it was. There's a big difference between liking how, say, a massage turns someone into yielding putty and how pressing against the reactor seems to trigger the same. At least in the former, it feels good. In the latter it's either psychological or because it's putting pressure on his heart. :D

I liked that for Tony it was about feeling safe and how that's basically wrecked now. Even if they have a happily ever after, the most likely (and deserving) punishment for Steve and repercussion of his action would be Tony no longer reacting the same way to that touch. Even if he genuinely felt safe, there'd always be the fact that Steve had deliberately used it to manipulate him before.
