![]() ![]() This is really interesting. I like the idea behind exploration of how that path could work, and the strangely (or perhaps ominously) hidden information that was seemingly unimportant is quite fascinating. Oh, if only there were more chapters...! |
![]() ![]() ![]() And so, I revisit this story a year later, and no updates. :( Will you be continuing this one? Please? |
![]() ![]() ![]() Look up kino's journey for siamiler econimics in one of its epsodes |
![]() ![]() ![]() Awesome Story, I really like the Shep/Liara and Garrus/Tali couples. I also like that Garrus is very accepting, but only after he's seen that Liara was right about one thing that seemed impossible to be right about. |
![]() ![]() ![]() very well done, cant wait to see what you do next. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Another good story, and a very interesting exploration into the affects of the Synthesis ending. I think I'm looking forward to more of this one than either Keelah Se'lai or Meek Shall Inherit. -Kat |
![]() ![]() ![]() Been reading your Blue Magic for a bit- for whatever reason, I never remembered to see if you'd written anything else. Corrected that and happy I did so. Bit of a strange premise, I have to say, but a very interesting one. The idea of Shep being 'the ghost in the machine' is pretty close to my own head-canon epilogue for what happened after the camera stopping recording to it's very interesting to see how you're going to develop this. Thanks for writing. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Interesting idea. And realistic explaination of the whole synthesis outcome. Cool. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Great first chapter, Liara is of course my favorie and well, she always seems to be suffering, hopefully good things wil happen |
![]() ![]() ![]() You know, I always had the hardest time seeing synthesis for it left too many answers undone. Though personally, I always though the Curcible was a tool the Reapers used to control cycles. After all, each cycle pulls huge amount of resources into the thing and when it putts together, it makes the citadel look like a relay dish. My thoughts when I first saw it was, trap. Especially as the Illusive Man warned the Reapers of it. I figure he was there to see off a concentrated blast of indoctrination to control the others races. I go in more detail my ending version, that written as a script. I try to make it for all Sheppards to follow, EMS, male, female, renegade and paragon. But enough of my rant. Keep up the work. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Interesting take on the Synthesis ending (which is my least favorite of the 3) and you have made it less creepy than I pictured it. I am enjoying the story and will follow to the end. Thought the meld with the planet was very clever. I am also glad that Tali & Garrus are part of the adventure! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Nice work and interesting concept :) enjoying reading, keep it up. |
![]() ![]() Isn't it 'Can't see the forest for the trees?' Whatever… Only real problems I see is you repeatedly using the word 'sentient' in place of 'sapient' and capitalizing species names unnecessarily. There is a reason for the sapiens in Homo sapiens sapiens {A.K.A. Homo sapiens (modern)}. The Mass Effect people get points for using sapient correctly. The only non-sentient animal I can think of is the sponge. Example: In the second to last sentence in this chapter: Confusion spread over the Asari's face. 'Asari' should not be capitalized in that instance anymore than 'human' would, nor should quarian or turian. Sadly, being human doesn't get you an automatic capitalization, but being American does, as does being British, Russian, French, Japanese, etc. I don't believe any of the Asari Republics were ever named, but there's nothing stopping you from doing so. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Well, at least Garrus seems to be coming around. That's positive, considering how skeptical he'd been. Liara understandably didn't do the best job explaining, but it came through clearly enough, and it doesn't hurt that there ARE discrepancies between the Catalyst and the diagrams of it. :) Those moving walls are messing everything up! Anywho, great stuff, I'm glad they seem to be on the right track, and Liara's got support that she doesn't need to keep secrets from :D |
![]() ![]() ![]() This continues to be nicely bizarre. :) I have my own theory of how this might end, but I'll keep it to myself for the moment. I just had this funny thought that it's a good thing Liara's the kind of person to stay true to Shep even after this. Imagine just trying to date someone else and going out with them - Shepard would always be around 'everywhere'! Talk about awkward. ;) Good stuff, enjoyed the talk with Garrus and looking forward on the Citadel discoveries. |
