I absolutely detest the fact you made Ciel a smoker...but that's only because I think smoking's disgusting. However, when I think of the facts, it only makes sense that Ciel would smoke. It's the adult-thing to do in this time period, and it's no secret Ciel wants to be seen as one.

I wonder where you'll take Sebastian in all this. He said himself that he enjoyed what he was doing to Ciel, but there's still his daemon/butler aesthetics in between. I wonder if you'll have him cross that line, or keep him back. I look forward to your next chapter!

I honestly can't wait to see where you take this. Sebastian's being so...Sebastian. I literally giggled when Elizabeth's gift was revealed. He's so wicked, I love how you've kept him in character.

Though, I do feel pretty sad for Ciel. The pendant was his mother's, after all. You'd think he'd be smarter when it comes to Sebastian preparing such a personal thing. He's what, fifteen here? Seriously, he needs to get with the program (Ciel, your butler's a daemon, remember?).

Your description of the renovated parlor was awesome. I truthfully wish I were better with vocabular; yours was outstanding in this instance. It wasn't too over the top (because I sometimes skip over stuff like that if it's too detailed and stuffy), but it gave me the actual essence of the architecture you were describing.

I'm so happy this isn't a one-shot! Despite your author's note in the beginning, my brain kept telling me that this wouldn't be multi-chaptered. The lack of pointless smut is awesome, and I can't wait to see how you develop these two!

Anywhoosle I'm curious as to where you'll take this. Somehow I think it'll be different. I've read tons of stories where Ciel's all like "I'm gonna dress myself!" and to be totally honest, I have a lot of faith that you'll make this different and not so smutty/plotless with this kind of lead.

Your Sebastian POV is pretty good. He's witty and dark and has an edge that I'm used to seeing. However, this is probably just me, but, it bothers me whenever he calls Ciel by his name. Yes, you did a wonderful job not doing that when he's actually speaking, but it still seems off for him to call Ciel that even in his thoughts. But again, that's all me, so do whatever you want with that. Sebastian probably does call Ciel by his name when he's thinking for all we know xD
