Brilliant story! Really, really brilliant. Vincent is spectacular and shows just how capable he is.

I love how you begin with the forged documents (which are still partially true) in the mansion. The 'ditching' of his classic costume is also a unique plot device that I haven't seen before.

I particularly like his method for information gathering in Midgar, and how his unexpected payment turns out to improve the slums.

Angeal and Genesis's confrontation with Cloud and Zack is hilarious and pointed. Cloud's rational to Genesis is a thing of genius-of course fighting isn't a trial for a SOLDIER.

Probably my favorite part of the story is the continual game of hide and seek with the Turks. I've always liked Tseng's character, and you've done a fantastic job of keeping Vincent ahead, but still showing Tseng's abilities. The last scene, with Vincent essentially beating them at their own game, was a thing of beauty. And I love how Tseng lists his crimes and then turns around and offers him a job.

I would love to see a mini sequel to this, or maybe a few scenes from Vincent as a 're instigated' Turk.

As I've said, amazing story.

Heh. Guess Turk administration is too busy to go and do the occasional audit of their users. Its fun watching Vincent so calculatingly set things up.

I really enjoyed reading your story! You see so many stories where it's Cloud going back in time, and as much as I love most of them, they get a bit old after a while. I loved how you put in so many small things that Vincent changed that ended up having a rather large effect. I wouldn't mind seeing a little more from this universe. _
