darkdranzer chapter 4 . 12/24/2013 Aaahhhh this fic is all sorts of awesome words cannotdescribe my glee XDXDXD |
Gyreflight chapter 4 . 12/23/2013 This is an interesting idea, cleverly carried through. I do like the demonstration of the intrinsic difference between the cool, practical, goal-focussed mindset that might characterise the best of the Turks and their covert and behind-the-scenes role, as opposed to the absolutes and head-on action that might be expected from a more classic hero/villain (or Soldier) – and it’s fascinating to see it applied to a time-travel fixit fic. The goals can be the same, even the emotions and loyalties (though those need not be acknowledged as relevant if they can be explained away in context, since they are obviously always to be secondary to the goal itself), but the method… well, that’s Turk to the bone, and I greatly enjoyed the chance to watch Turk-Vincent at his best. Very nicely done, and with a most satisfyingly appropriate conclusion. Thanks for the read. |
damagectrl.07 chapter 4 . 12/22/2013 This is great. I loved it. Thank you so much for writing this, it was a pleasure to read. Your characterization of Vincent is flawless. |
destinykeyblade chapter 4 . 11/15/2013 That... was... fabulous. v I'm nearly at a loss - this is usually the part where I ramble on for ten minutes about this or that that happened in the story, but here, all I can really think to say is how thoroughly I've enjoyed the last hour thanks to this. I've never really gotten into the 'time-travel' fics before (though that may be due to the fact of what most of the pairings are -_-") but this has really impressed me! Your attention to detail was great, all of Vincent's doings in the slums seemed very well thought-out - but of course, the entire story was like that. I knew that Vincent was a Turk, of course, but when thinking of how to write him in the fanfictions I'm plotting, it didn't occur to me to make that such an important aspect of his character. He seemed so... immature, and maybe even incompetent, during his flashbacks in Dirge of Cerberus, although I suppose that could have been due to Lucrecia's presence. In any case, this version of Vincent is marvelous; I like him very much ;) And the ending! Completely made my day XD Job very well done, my friend! Thanks for sharing this idea with the fanfiction world |
farfromdaylight chapter 4 . 11/5/2013 Good god this fic is flawless. |
JenEvan chapter 4 . 10/24/2013 This is one of the best time-travel fics I've came across here after the only few I liked. And a different twist, with Vincent instead, and all his Turk skills of forgery, sabotage and subtle manipulation to influence the outcome :) Liked it even more as it gave everyone a happy ending :) |
Oceanna chapter 4 . 9/25/2013 I'm in love with your ending. Truly. I mean, I love the rest of the fanfic, the pragmatism, the dry humor, the way everyone gets an happy ending... But the last part ? It's awesome, because I was surprised, and yet, it's so logical considering Vincent, considering the title and all... Yeah, it wraps up everything. So, thank you for that fanfic, which is one of the best time-travel I've read. |
Guest chapter 4 . 9/22/2013 Hah! This was fabulous! Masterfully done in four chapters, bravo! I loved Vincent's romp at the end especially, and you tied up everything thoroughly. Thanks for a great story! |
Onsheka chapter 1 . 9/7/2013 I have never played any FF games, I have never interacted with the fandom. All my knowledge comes from memes and fanart. I started reading this on a whim and got SUCKED IN i actually feel an urge to learn more about the canon story. Even barely understanding what Vincent was changing I felt invested in the plot and empathised with the characters. Wow. Well done dude. A*10/10 would read again. |
Tegasus chapter 4 . 8/26/2013 Great story! Thanks for posting it! |
ishala8 chapter 4 . 7/26/2013 Funny, witty and incredibly loveable. It makes for an amazing read. Thank you. |
doodlekitt chapter 4 . 7/5/2013 This- this made me happy. I love all the FFVII time travel fics, but I hadn't seen one with Vincent before! And I appreciate how concise it was. No excess angst and romance, just pragmatic, Turkish progress. |
seaweed chapter 4 . 7/2/2013 This was freaking AWESOME! loved every single part of it. Vincent's mentality and emotios, the subtle sarcasm, the characters in general and of course the action! It was all awesomely presented! I was a bit miffed however when I read the scene between Tseng and Vincent and realized it was very smilar to sinnatious' fifth act where Tseng confronts Cloud, but...I'm not here to pass judgent on that. I really enjoyed the fic and that's all that matters. Thank you for sharing it. |
Madame Minuit12 chapter 4 . 6/19/2013 oooh I love it :D a great take on the whole time travelling theme! really amazing:) I'd love to read how it continues! |
Asherit chapter 4 . 6/13/2013 Just wonderful, I love this story ! The end of it is just that great that it is "right", exactly what I think would happen, in this case |
