Reviews for The Turks' Way
bebebebota11 chapter 4 . 5/25/2013
Oh my God. Just when you believe there is nothing to add to the huge amount of FFVII time-travel fics, there's a new one that thankfully proves yourself wrong. For starters, I'm not really a fan of fics where Vincent is the main character, because I feel most writers can't get him right. It's like they forget completely that he is supposed to be a Turk sometimes, though I will not lay the blame on the fic-writers alone since some games of the Compilation seems to forget it too... I obviously didn't have a problem with that in your fic, and I loved reading about him interacting with the new Turks (they are a lack of fics that do that as well).
I also liked Vincent's plan. Bonus points because I'm a big fan of the "Vincent is Sephiroth's father" theory (I know he's not), and I loved the moment when Sephiroth found out the "truth". It was bittersweet to read it in older-Vincent's point of view. I liked the scene between Genesis and Sephiroth as well, remarkable since Genesis is not a character I like so much. Oh well, you have gained a stalk*cough* watcher

Damn this story is good. I enjoy well written time-travel fics, and this one is just awesome.
Ka chapter 1 . 2/28/2013
(Finding his once beloved Lucrecia's personal journal half-torn in a room, he is able to use it as template to create a fake one that describes their secretly growing love... Pure, unadulterated, sappy romance: the Scientist and the Turk – the angst of their respective positions, a romantically discreet wedding (indulging in fantasies he'd always dreamed of), Lucrecia finding herself unexpectedly (but not unpleasantly) pregnant, plans to run off together in the sunset – the hell with ShinRa... a bittersweet symphony that he nevertheless enjoys.)

I already said I think this is awesome, but, Vincent the sappy fanfic writer, while being a badass forger turk...
Funny awesome.
Qem chapter 4 . 2/8/2013
This is really hilarious. I love how Vincent approaches everything in a Turkish kind of way. The conclusion with him being recruited was absolutely perfect. XD

Meadow7 chapter 4 . 12/29/2012
aaand a great end too short tears pouring out of my heart hoping for a longer story next time this was a one shot that will not be forgotten
Meadow7 chapter 3 . 12/29/2012
this was great bit too fast but it was all very interesting and i have only read one other story where some one tries to improve life for the people personally and that was a harry potter ff7 crossover so what you have Vincent do was very unique
Meadow7 chapter 1 . 12/29/2012
i wonder if seph will fall for it *o*
Caellach Tiger Eye chapter 1 . 12/29/2012
Oh my gosh!

I was really getting caught up in this story, just from the first chapter - by the mid-point I was shameless reading aloud with inflection, by the end I was cackling like a madman.

This is absolutely fantastic. Enjoyable, darkly hilarious (for obvious reasons), awesome, even a little heartwarming... what more could one want? Perhaps it might be wish-fulfillment, but I'm beyond caring because damn it - Vincent DESERVES a well-cooked meal like this after what Canon puts him through.

Splendid work - I will look into the next chapters very soon!

God-sPEED!
synteis chapter 4 . 12/21/2012
Absolute brilliance. Much as I might have loved for you to have spend more time with the SOLDIERS, Cloud, Aerith and so forth, this captured each of their personalities so well even if I might somewhat prefer the less exuberant Cloud of canon (but I completely understand why he changed). The brief glimpses of them but more than anything else of Tseng, Genesis and, of course, Vincent, is all done beautifully. The ending was wonderfully executed. Congratulations on an excellent story, I only wish that it had been longer by which I mean that the individual events had been more fleshed out.
