Fabulous! You even managed to keep the training with George in! I loved it :) The episode would have been so much better if they had done it like this :)

"You tried to kill arthur", just cut right to the chase gaius, it's not like that would make his panic increase or anything. Sometimes I wonder where his bedside manners are. but still well in character, it's totally gaius though.

Smooth Merlin. you're not like Arthur getting tricked into taking some sleeping draught. *Sounds of superior laughing* Merlin is awesome like that!

I'm impressed Merlin could stay on the horse without a saddle, especially with him feeling so rubbish at the moment and taking into account his usual clumsiness.

Haha! She dropped it! And she was so worried that Agravaine would drop it and there she goes, miss all powerful and seeking revenge!

I love Merlin's horse, she's so sweet and caring with Merlin. Would be funny if she would let no one else handle her but Merlin. Can you imagine the scene of Arthur or anyone trying to move her out of the way to get to Merlin ,but she refuses to cooperate wanting to protect MErlin. I'm getting ahead of myself XD

That is just wrong. Fir starters, Agravain doens't even fit in that particular group ,let alone in Merlin's spot. You sure know how to make me hate him even more than I already do!

And of course Agravaine manages to slip away. Damn it Gwaine, I expected more from my favorite knight. Queen Arthur would be disappointed XD

Brilliant chapter, I so can't wait for someone to find Merlin, unconscious in his little camp with his protective horsey. I so hope that if one group finds him it'll be Arthur.

Oh one question, are you only writing an AU of the episode or do you plan to move this story along across the season, cause Arthur's supicion of Agravaine would suggest you're turning the season AU, so maybe you won't just stick to this particular episode, make it one huge story or something? Or perhaps make a sequel to this if for example Agravaine were to be found out in this story and thus exiled form Camelot or executed?

Hoho, I wonder how they're going to react when they find the two! (I am, of course, assuming Merlin succumbed to sleep.)

You know, I've always been kind of disappointed with fight scenes between sorcerers on the show. All they seem to do is throw each other around! I mean, sure, it's effective, but can't they be a bit more impressive? The swordfights are better!

So keeping an eye on him didn't work, clearly... Slippery little snake. Except that's an insult to snakes. Poor Merlin... Having that thing cut out of his neck so many times. With Arthur and his knights closing in, I can't imagine what Merlin's going to do. Update soon!

Great chapter once again. Though it want very mean, you still ended on a cliffie and I want more!

You know, I was thinking: exhausted and ill, and Merlin still is more powerful than Morgana - and you really nailed that in this chapter. I wonder how the writers of the show are going to spin that. :-)
And it's good to see Arthur using his head for awhile, and not go automatically with ' Agravaine is family, therefore he is right'

Great chapter, Lethe. I like how you made the fight between Merlin and Morgana subtly different from the episode. I also like the fact that Gaius removed the snake so many times from Merlin's neck (I did wonder when watching it why they didn't just do this again - okay, it would grow back, but not immediately). Only one teensy thing to point out, and I'm sure someone else has already mentioned it, but Merlin uses a spell to age himself and Gaius' potion to de-age himself, not the other way round. The only reason he uses a potion to de-age himself is because he couldn't get the counter-spell to work when he did it the first time. Hope I'm not being too nit-picky, and it certainly doesn't detract from an as-usual excellent chapter. :O)
