| LaurienCalafalas chapter 9 . 2/16
I just sent you a review, but I wasn't logged in, so I'm sorry if it didn't come through, or you didn't know who it was from :(
But it basically said I absolutely love your story and your style!
Lots of love,

I love this story so much! I was going to write a review for a few of the chapters but I couldn't stop reading. It had me totally entranced, and it's currently 6:41 am and I just wanted you to know that it's amazing and I'm going to look to see if you have other stories because I absolutely love your style!
Lots of love,
PS I hate cliffhangers, but I forgive you for those (;

Very good story.
| CosmicEssence chapter 10 . 1/5
excellent, can't find fault really, though I'm no expert on military practices or placements so dunno about those...sounded good though. Loved the Mycroft inclusions even if he never actually appeared :p Mostly I jus loved the storytelling and emotion that seemed pretty well n character. Very very good :D Thanks!

Hahaha, I loved at the end of the last chapter, how John was like...don't you think I would've picked up on some of your lessons by now? Sheesh. Lol. Awesome.
Oh, but I did kind of want to ask...in his intial flashback with Sherlock there, I think John mentioned something about being all alone, again? I was wondering if that 'alone. again.' was referring to the Baskerville experince, or something from his days in the army? Did he still withhold that particular memory/nightmare from Sherlock?!
Or am I just overthinking things? -cough-
Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed reading very much. :)
| Tara Laurel chapter 10 . 11/22/2013
This was an absolutely fantastic story! I love John's back story and thoroughly wish it would be explored more. Thank you for granting that wish. Between the insights into John's past and the brotherly bonding moments between him and Sherlock, this was a truly great read.
| Xin0Lan chapter 10 . 10/8/2013
A brilliant story! Writing about John's history is not too common and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I only wish I had found this sooner.
| Iva1201 chapter 10 . 8/30/2013
I usually do not enjoy the fics on Afganistan to be quite honest (do not like wars much in general (-:), but this was really good - and I liked also the sequel very much. Thank you.

PLATONIC BED SHARING! My favorite. :)
This chapter was simply adorable. Great ending to a fantastic story, I will definitely be checking out your other stories as well.
| Roxanne15927 chapter 9 . 8/16/2013
"Don't you dare."
"What?" he whispered, ashamed at how unsteady his voice came out.
"Don't you dare retreat from me. Don't close me out now," John warned.
I may or may not have squealed at this part.
Oh this past two chapters have been absolutely RAW with emotion, and it is freaking amazing! You are a great author!
Pretty much loving this story!
| Roxanne15927 chapter 4 . 8/16/2013
"You, however, seem to be the exception to almost every rule I've had." Exxxacctly. :)
Great chapter! So glad I don't have to wait for the next chapter and can see what happens next. Score. :)
| Roxanne15927 chapter 3 . 8/16/2013
This chapter was so emotional! I could feel John's pain and his fear. I just absolutely loved it.
You are doing a fantastic job of portraying their friendship.
My favorite parts:
(this one is from Chapter 2): Like Sherlock was worth defending. John was the first. He'd seemed oddly proud to do it, too, like it was an honor.
That made my heart all warm and fuzzy inside. John is just the best. I love that adorable man. I adore how protective John is of Sherlock. SQUEEEEE.
"John, I don't know how to do this," he said, waving his long fingers vaguely between them.
Isn't that just the perfect description of the relationship between Sherlock and feelings? Gah. But I love how he still tries, because he cares so much for John.
He clenched his eyes shut, fighting against his demons as panic and fear threatened to drown him. It was taking every bit of strength he had left to keep from getting up and running out of the flat, out of the building, out into the night. Somewhere, anywhere but here. He was afraid that Sherlock would back off once he saw what a nutter he was. He couldn't face the judgment. The look that would be in his eyes, the pity.
Poor John. This part was beautifully written.
Sherlock knew that John would not be entirely comfortable with how they were sitting, even if he was attempting to comfort him.
I straight up giggled at this part. I love how awkward John feels around Sherlock with touchy feely sort of things.

Oh heck, I apologize. I misread. I would review again on Chapter 2, but it won't let me. That wasn't Sherlock who referred to John as Watson. So sorry about that, my mistake.
I feel mortified.
Anyways. Going on to Chapter 3.
| Roxanne15927 chapter 2 . 8/16/2013
I have only just started reading your stories, and so far I am very impressed! Your characterization of Sherlock is perfect, I love it! I can totally imagine that is how he thinks. I am very intrigued to find out what is going on with John. Your writing is fantastic. :)
My only gripe is that Sherlock called John, "Watson" in the first chapter. I know he calls him Watson in the books, but in Sherlock, the only time he ever says Watson is when he is saying his entire name. Sorry, it's such a tiny thing, but I think it's important.
Other than that, I thought your characterization and writing was perfect on Sherlock, John and Mycroft. Loved Sherlock's and Mycroft text conversation as well.
Onto the next chapter! :)
