Well, I'm here about twenty years later. You're probably never going to see this review.

I read through the whole thing in one evening and I love everything about it. It's bloody brilliant! This had all of the things I love about Spike and about Sprusilla and Spuffy - those complicated, often messed up, sweet, dramatically romantic ships. The emotional and physical journey he goes through, the color and life you bring to the different places (are you a traveler yourself?), the broody non-broodiness, the flashbacks. And your Spike voice, both pre and post-soul, is eerily perfect. (And his thoughts about Anya in Berlin were hilarious and her voice was spot on too!)

And Whistler! I also love what you did with the demon Spike went to - the idea that it gives you both what you wish for and what you most fear seems so perfectly BTVS and felt like something that should really have been in canon.

I think this is my Spike canon. Beware, because I'm probably going to recommend this to everyone I talk about Spike to.

I don't know if you still write, whether fanfiction or published fiction, or hang around fandom - but I hope so. This was a treat, and thank you! 3

terrific fic ~ made me want to romp around Europe ;D great job with the places, the details, and above all, Spike ~ i'd have been fascinated to see a season 7 with this version of souled!Spike, not that the actual 7th season wasn't great in itself. anyway, wonderful work, good luck with all your writing, and thanks so much for the read :D

Okay, I give up. There's no way in Hell the Powers That Be could ever do as good a story as this. I've sworn off the tv show. From now on, I only want Wisteria's version of Life In SunnyHell.

Wisteria, you write some of the most heartbreakingly beautiful prose I've ever read. This story was really touched me - it was gentle and sweet and didn't flinch from Spike's uglier truths. I liked it very, very much.

'Ten Thousand' is one of the best Buffy fics I've read, and easily the best post-Grave Spike stories that I've encountered so far. I was especially impressed by the fact that the locations (which you've clearly put a lot of effort into capturing as accurately as possible) are more than just exotic backdrops, but reflect the development of Spike's character as he slowly grows into his newfound soul.

That was so good. I hope you'll reconsider about doing a sequel. May be you could do it from Buffy's point of view this time. ;-)

I absolutely loved this story. *grin* And the way you ended it was genius. It leaves us waiting anxiously for Season Seven... or a sequel, whichever comes first.

I absolutely loved this story. Without a doubt, the best follow-up to the finale-possibly the best story period-I've read. Excellent writing throughout all the chapters, and a great conclusion. There's nothing more I can say except I really enjoyed it.

Kudos on such a great story so far. Nice balance between humor and seriousness that *so* Spike. Might I add that the e-mails from Clem are a touch of genius? ...*smirk*

Excellent all the way! I love how you made each city come alive. Luckily for me, I've been to most of them and you really captured their spirits. I liked the ambiguous ending, but I'll be the first to scream "SEQUEL PLEASE!"

this story is awesome! i love how you really dove into spike and his character and his reactions to both his memories, nightmares and dreams. i also love the fact that he's trying to sort things out and it is just a great story. keep writing!
