That funeral was utterly brilliant- and sweet and touching at the same time. God, your writing astounds me. The strangest family indeed.

My heart just exploded from all these cute, fluffy feels:

Sherlock fixed John with a triumphant look. "As you can see, we're very well-researched on the subject. Not putting that effort to use would be a shame."

And this:

"God, you're brilliant," Sherlock said, tilting his head to kiss the toddler's bare right knee, just exposed by the hem of his shorts. Abby laughed again, his skin tickled by the affectionate gesture. "Understanding the difference between vocalizations and rapid wing vibrations at your age. Absolutely brilliant! Where's my phone? I need to gloat at Mycroft and possibly several of the dregs at Scotland Yard over how well you've turned out. Upstairs!"

Sherlock as a loving parent is just too much. Ovaries everywhere are exploding over this. Sorry for that horrible visual image but this fic is too much awesome.

Really loved this story! I also like how you handled the subject of explaining death; it's not easy to write in fanfiction but I found it to be very sweet and rather charming. And yay for John and Sherlock having another baby!

Really hope someone decides to draw the three of them in their viking helmets. I mean, I know it was for a funeral but the thought of them in their helmets and Sherlock and Abby being dramatic had me cracking up. :)
