This fic is an almost-recommend to me. There is one reason I hesitate. That reason is the use of an ableist slur, the word r*tard, in chapter 12.
""Merlin, who wants to go to Ludus, they're all so prim and proper and Flammel is full of r*tards," exclaimed an exasperated Ginny."
I know that it's been over a decade, but I wanted to reach out with hope that you've changed your language by then. As an autistic person, it's not acceptable to use this word as it represents the oppression of disability, in much the same way as the f-slur and the n-word represent oppression.

Wow, I know this is a little late in the reading, but in the hope this somehow reaches you. I've just finished your story and I am utterly blown away. A political harry potter fanfiction... ambitious but somehow you've managed to blow it out of the park. From impassioned speeches to genuine philosophical discussions. While the emotional revelations hit the perfect octave. All the while keeping canonically viable. I hope you have gone on to use your clear gift for writing to brighten lives and liven minds. I hope this reaches you and I hope I get the chance to read more of your work

Eric, I have two favorite post-battle stories and this is one. I come back to it when I'm feeling nostalgic or want a little extra dose of HP. I love IMMEDIATE post-battle stories and there aren't many good ones. This one in particular, showing that winning the peace is hard, but keeping what you fought for is just as hard, is amazing. Have you heard the song England Arise - it's featured in the 66th episode of the West Wing "Posse Comitatus" - "and victorious in war shall be made glorious in peace" - but it's not true - it's hardly ever true. If we learn anything from history, working hard AFTER the war is just as important, difficult, and takes much, much longer, as you have shown in this fic. EXCELLENT read!

I enjoyed this story. I appreciate that the antagonist, Grantham, wasn't an evil pantomime villain. Thanks for sharing your writing.

This is the best Harry Potter fan fiction I have read. I wanted to read what happened after the Battle of Hogwarts, what the characters did and said and what they were feeling, and it gave me that perfectly. It also gives a very astute assessment of the work that would still need to be done to win the peace. I think my favourite bit was the section on Australia. I'm Australian myself and always wanted to know what the Australian version of Diagon Alley would be like! And the scene on the plane had me laughing out loud! Absolutely brilliant! Thank you :-)

Honestly, this is the best fanfiction I've ever read my whole life. It was brilliantly written

I am an ultimate RHr shipper. But even so, some of these are too cheesy, fluffy and awkward for me. LOL. It got me cringing and skipping some from previous chapters’ speeches about their love to each other, even with their endearment. I mean, they spent YEARS avoiding their feelings, and in only a few weeks getting together from Shell cottage they can already say all those fluffy and cheesy things and in front of an audience too. and made love too!
It would take a lot for me to get used to showing I’m in love with my best friend.

at first I almost felt to quit reading this story because of your writing, but now I am so glad I pushed through that first part, because this story is phenomenal! It is very well thought out and detailed and I love it!
