|Reviews for Jessi XX|
| Guest chapter 5 . 12/21/2013
I don't like how you've switched brian taylor and tom foss' characters, it means that foss will probably be portrayed as evil and I think it would have been more interesting if jessi escaped zyzzyx instead of kyle with only brian, her father, who tested her too much and later on kyle escapes with foss' help

The Declan/Jessi conversation in her bedroom really amused me. I like the whole jealousy of Lori thing. In fact this fic makes me ship Jessi/Declan pretty hard... harder than I ever shipped Amanda/Kyle. :P I also enjoy the Amanda/Jessi friendship a lot in this fic. :P I can picture it so well. It's an interesting dynamic because in a lot of ways Amanda's personality is the opposite of Jessi's, but also it's sort of similar to Kyle's personality, so it makes sense that Jessi would appreciate Amanda and that Amanda would act that way toward her.
"That's where Josh hides all his porn."
LOL I love how Jessi is so blunt and always does things that Kyle didn't do to make scenes funnier. :P
I wish there was some aspect of Jessi feeling emotional about not remembering her birthday, the way Kyle did in this actual episode. Or a specific explanation of why she doesn't feel emotional about it. She asked when her birthday was to the Wigi board, so she does seem to care to some degree. It could be different emotions but I don't know... I just kind of adore Kyle's first real emotional outburst in this episode. But Jessi is different so idk what she'd do. We know, however, that she certainly has the capability for extreme tears and loneliness and feelings like that so... idk.
Anyway. I look forward to working on continuing this fic now.
Thanks so much for writing such a great first 5 chapters. ;)

Lmao. The knife stuff is ingenious. The way you write Jessi all "What? I was angry" and "that's why I stabbed the table instead". Brilliant.
Ah the difference in how Jessi would stop Toby from hurting Josh vs. how Kyle did it. I love the violence in Jessi. :P It's so fascinating to explore. And how the consequences of this would change the whole private tutor vs. being in the general population of the school thing.
Okay, so I see where you're already starting to go with Brian Taylor... I probably will continue the fic in this vein...
| luvtheheaven chapter 3 . 6/29/2013
"Amanda and Josh both looked over at Jessi's distraught face, and then looked at each other as they realized what had just happened. Josh, suddenly forgetting all about meeting babes, walked up to Jessi and put his hand on her shoulder."
Aw, my heart is breaking.
I'm loving all the twists with what actually happened to Kyle vs. what would happen with Jessi. Her jumping off the roof for Ms. Bloom... all of it is so perfect. :P
There seem to be more typos and stuff in this fic than in your other ones though. The dog is "parking" not "barking" lol and things like that. Especially in chapter 2 actually... chapter 3 I didn't notice as much.
I'm really enjoying reading this fic.

Whoops! That review posted before I was ready. Anyway...
Anyway I think it's really interesting the way you set this all up.
I like that this time Jessi would be in Lori's room and how Josh comments about Declan being in her bedroom and stuff... very creative.
I think in the pilot Kyle was taken to a 100% male Juvenile Detention facility, though. So wouldn't Jessi have been taken to a female one? :P
I like the Declan/Jessi flirting you had going too but I wish she had gotten a bad taste of too much alcohol just like Kyle did in the pilot haha... ALSO when did Jessi have a chance to realize her abilities were more advanced than other people's? I feel like you left out something important from this pilot chapter. She didn't bond with Stephen or Josh at all or even enough with Lori. Some of the emotion that would have been interesting is lost. Especially with Josh thinking she's hot - it'd be nice to see why he's accepting of her staying with them a bit longer, if in your version of events he doesn't bond with her the way he did with Kyle but he just is enjoying having a hot girl in the house, or what.
Overall I really enjoyed the first chapter a lot though.
Now I'm going to read the second & third chapters and when I'm done, review both in one review.

I really love the concept for this story! It's so creative and with a writer like you I know you can do wonders with it. I know you haven't updated this fic in ages but I hope you haven't abandoned it! There is so much potential here.
I've only read chapter 1 - the pilot - so far.
You say this is interesting because of nature vs. nurture but there is a key element you forgot to mention in your author's note - gender too. It makes a difference.
I always thought it was fascinating that they chose to have the first person Jessi stumbles across in the woods be someone who feels like it's his lucky day or a gift from God or whatever to get some goo-covered 16-year-old girl (in real life Jaimie Alexander was 23 years old but imagine if she really looked only 16) wandering naked into his area of the woods, staring at everything around her like a crazy person.

that was awesome
| TheBabblingBrooke chapter 5 . 9/19/2012
Can't wait to see what all this does to Kyle.
| MR DKM chapter 5 . 9/18/2012
Nice twist of events. I'd be waiting for the next chapter. I'm wondering if the role reversals would cause Kyle to be the unstable one. I hope it wouldn't be as extreme as Jessi's in the series.
| CrystalSearcher chapter 5 . 9/17/2012
This is so well done, it's ridiculous. The switch is very realistic too because Jessi was always prone to more rebellious behavior and extreme competitiveness. I like how you introduced Brian Taylor early on. I can't wait to see Kyle.
