Oh god - this was a great chapter. I was really not wanting to read it at first - too anxious! Glad I sucked it up though because I love angry Maura, freaked out Jane, and I really want to know what Doyle has to say to Jane.

Well well well, Constance brought the key and felt it right to not tell Maura in person...

Wow. Just. Wow. My stomach is knotted up over this - the tension, the darkness from Jane - it was so well done that I need a moment to regroup. Also, thank you for not going too far into it - that would have been difficult to read.

This chapter had me on the edge of my keyboard the entire time. Between the idea of being caught in the act, wondering what Constance was going to say or do, and now Rory's comeuppance? That's a lot to digest.

Wow - that was all protective Jane and possessive Maura and I LOVED every syllable! I am still a bit weak in the knees about the last scene though. So I'll need a break to be able to cool down ;-)

oh! and there's the end :') so beautiful, love all the story, all this universe, how is so well written, everything. I'm gonna miss it a lot!

Oh my - quite the chapter. We get married Maura and Jane, Anne making more moves, taming a horse, and Paddy Doyle? Now we also have Constance in town - Maura fearing any exposure!

Loved it. I feel a bit empty, seeing as it's the end. And it'll be hard to find a rizzles fanfic (let alone a fanfic in general) that has given me so many emotions and opened my eyes. Thank you

Even though you have this with a T rating, that was one of the most sensual scenes I've ever read. It makes me long for that kind of understanding and love and trust. Genteel society can be brutal, but Jane is way more of a man than any of the others at dinner, and causing all those Hughes women to swoon will put the men in their places soon enough, I suspect.

Oh my god! This entire chapter had me smiling! From the arrival, to the owl and in between. This just is such a nice slice of life for Jane and Maura as a married couple! But are they actually sleeping in Maura's old room and not the master bedroom?

So glad Angela seems to be ok with Jane, and a bit surprised she didn't mention it in the letter, but also relieved that it won't shadow the trip. And it sounds like Jane/Jake will have to fend off women in Boston too... Also adored the interaction with the older couple, but have to wonder what life expectancy was back in the 1800's - knowing that 50 years married, even if that started as a teen, may have been pushing that limit - or that may only be my assumptions...

Ok, this was achingly beautiful with Maura and Angela. Looking forward to Boston and what that brings. I do have to wonder what will be waiting for them there, and when they return...

I love that Jane wants to be Maura's husband, or really whatever Maura needs. I wonder how long it will take for Jane to make Frankie and Tommy, and any other man around, understand that they are a couple. Can't wait to see how that is resolved.

Ok, I like that you started this only a month into their adventure as a couple! I love that they rip each others clothes off, and I was surprised that Addie doesn't seem as adept at figuring out their relationship as I thought she was in CJ1.

I am inwardly dying that this installment is now complete. I think it ended well, although I don't know how I will be able to go without. I understand you needing a break from this one, as you've invested a lot of time into this, but I do hope at some point there will be more to this one eventually as well :)
