This is amazingly sad and dark for being about a cartoon. And I love it! I recently got into this show and wanted to see if there were any good fanfics! I could not have found a better story. Well done.

But really, this was lovely. And...sad. But really good! I really like this! It's like you read my mind or something with this story. I sure hope you don't have another mystic amulet, haha. ;D

Great story! I truly love Grunkle Stan. I was surprised to find a good show like this when surfing channels but I'm glad I did. Can't wait to read more. God bless!

Okay, okay, wow. This is the best fanfiction I think I've read out of the Gravity Falls section as a whole. (It doesn't feature generic Mary Sues and out of character exchanges, so automatically you get props.) But besides comparing you to others of the fandom, your story is quiet flawless. It's not too sappy, but it is sweet in all the right places. Like a beautifully decorated red velvet cake (as opposed to the plates full of plain sugar everyone elses seems to be dishing out, but okay, we're not talking about them, this is your review, forget I said anything). The higher truth Grunkle Stan kept from them, yes, is liable to change in canon, but I'm pretty sure you were well aware of that before beginning this story. You've done a great job of getting Mabel's personality down, and Dipper is right up there, but it's a bit easier to pull off, so you get a major points for mastering the quirky one. And Grunkle Stan. Wow. You're leaning towards third person limited in this, so it's more his thoughts than anyone else. It seems so real, like something from Alex himself. I applaud you for this entire masterpiece. I am waiting, if I may be honest for a moment, impatiently for any other stories you may happen to type up.
