| Djenif chapter 16 . 5/17
Oh, it wasn't that bad a chapter. The dialogue was pretty believable. The theme (John hours into a mainstream class with Sherlock as a translator) is still a little off (he needs to learn to lip read fairly well first) but it's okay.

This is extremely well written so far. I'm not very far into it but this chapter made my heart hurt which sounds weird but just take it as a 'kudos, you write really well'

Its not particularly good, but its not particularly bad either.
You mentioned that John and Sherlock live 20 minutes away from each other, yet you describe Sherlock's home as being rather extravagant and John's as being run down- what's the neighborhood like? Later in the story you place John on an hour long bus ride to Sherlock's, and another hour's long bus ride from there to an abandoned apartment building so removed from the majority of the citys population that a serial killer feels safe beating a loudly screaming boy in the middle of the afternoon, I can only assume that that would place the apartments equally distant from Sherlock's home as John house. So how in all the seven hells did Mycroft not beat John there? He has access to a car and was only about 20 minutes drive from him, according to the internal logic of your story anyway.
Mycroft and Sherlock both seemed rather simple minded in how they were written, you had a bumbling idiot of a serial killer break into there home and take Sherlock hostage and Mycroft couldn't find any indication of this? Didn't even notice he was missing till the next day and his first thought was to call John? That just isn't Homes. In the show Sherlock could tell by the imprint's on the damned carpeting that some assholes had assaulted ms Hudson, and your telling me Mycroft had no leads till the fucker literally called him.
On that note you said he called three days later, yet you had him break in and incapacitate Sherlock, and the next time he was conscious was just as the serial killer came to beat him, five minutes before John arrives-how did John not hear Sherlock screaming?- and long enough after the call for Mycroft to have an exact address, down to the specific apartment in the building. Why the fuck is the serial killer surprised to have company? And what the fuck has he been doing for with starving dehydrated unconscious for three days Sherlock?
Why the fuck would Sally and Anderson visit them in the hospital, I mean it was mildly amusing but literally why the actual fuck would they do that? Sally was consistently bitchy but Anderson would go from laughing at John's inability to hear to being a raging pot of violence in moments, I mean if you were going for inconsistent jerk who doesn't seem like anything more than a caricature of an antagonist- gold fucking star- but if you wanted a human being with motivations and shit, well you kinda missed the mark.
The interactions between John and Sherlock was good, though Sherlock came across as terribly simple. And the whole sign language thing was good. Sorry i'm being so negative, I just-you have potential. This right here could have been fucking phenomenal. So uh, next time you get a great idea like this maybe edit a little more? Ugh, I feel like such a condescending ass. Fuck it.

I really appreciated your author's note at the start of this chapter, particularly since the description of your life seems almost completely parallel to what mine has been for almost two years now. Two years ago this December, my grandmother introduced me to The West Wing, which had been cancelled almost six years ago at the time. At first I was completely against it because it took place in the White House, two months later I became obsessed with The West Wing, getting through season two secretly by myself by watching an episode every night on Netflix on my phone in my room, already prone to insomnia. About a month after I got into it, my dad got rid of Netflix, so I could no longer watch what was quickly becoming my favorite show. So I did what any not so sane person in my position would do, I looked up everything about it I could find on the Internet. And I accidentally stumbled upon a fanfic. Being the curious person I am, I read it, and immediately fell in love with fanfiction, and immediately started writing it. Then it happened, that July, I was hit with every symptom of severe depression there is. Soon, fanfiction became one of the few things that kept me going. I only discovered Sherlock last January, when season three aired. My mom was watching brit-coms on PBS, when it turns out, season three of Sherlock was airing on PBS. And so we watched it, and I was confused the entire time we were watching. In my defense, watching The Empty Hearse without even seeing The Reichenbach Fall, much less the rest of the series, so you can imagine how confused I was, but I eventually figured out what happened in the episode I had just watched, and I have never been more fascinated by a character in my life. I watched the following two episodes, then the rest of the series, probably over a hundred fanfics about it and counting, and the rest is history. Don't worry, I'll review your entire story when I'm finished reading it. :)

Nice, I like it(:
(btw, make/tag/mark this story complete. I don't know how to do it since I've never written a fan fic, but I thought this story was in-progress until I saw there was a sequel. Just thought I'd say)
