What a great Story. I have been waiting for this time period to be explored. You have Matthew's emotions pegged perfectly. It was such a great story and explained Matthew, Mary and Robert perfectly. A round of applause for writing such a great piece.

That was lovely and tragic and perfect. I love the idea that this happened before he left-that both of them broke down a little at the thought of him going to war. The dialogue was absolutely perfect-I could really see and hear them exchanging it. And you conveyed so well the way they understand each other better than they understand themselves.
